A tag has been placed on Loki Lillistone requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Conflict of interest

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Loki Lillistone, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Bovlb (talk) 20:57, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but...

[edit]

There are too many edits by others for the single contributor criterion to apply. We don't know who the IP editors were, for one thing. It could go to Articles for Deletion, but I don't know what the result would be. Without membership of a band with an article, it would have gone long ago. I assume you are the subject of the article, by the way. If you aren't sure about AfD (it's not easy unless you use a tool called Twinkle), I'll put it up for you. Don't try to get it speedy deleted, by the way. That's been declined now by three admins. Trying again would be regarded as vandalism. Let me know if you want to me to put it at AfD. Thanks for your help

[edit]

Thanks a lot for your help, it would be amazing if you could AfD it for me. I am indeed the subject. It's accurate, but not really of interest to anyone and now feel uncomfortable about having the information out there. My own stupid fault I know.

I posted this message in more than one place by the way, as I don't really know how to 'talk' properly on wikipedia.

Sorry to waste everyone's time - thanks again,

Loki

That's fine. I'm going for 'PROD' rather than AfD, as that avoids discussion. Usually, the author declines the prod and things then go to AfD, but if you just leave the tag in place, I don't think anyone else will remove it. I've suggested in my reason that your references aren't up to our standard for independence, and that you may be considered non-notable. That isn't an insult - it's a get-out clause... Peridon (talk) 14:28, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Loki Lillistone has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I've been requested by the author of the article see if it can be deleted. He is the subject, and rather embarrassed by it now. It is only referenced to sources that don't meet WP:RS, and without disrespect to the subject, could be considered non-notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
