User Page
[edit]Hi Logical2u, your user page was recently a victim of vandalism:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3AArdoMelnikov&diff=49359062&oldid=49350193
I have reverted the changes; I actually came here to remove my comment about the Moon for sale edit since we've resolved the issue on my User talk page. Best wishes T. J. Day 02:05, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
Re: Difference Between Vanity and Notability
[edit]Technically, vanity is not a reason for an article to be deleted (see WP:AUTO); however, I'm sure that such a contribution would cause several editors to raise some eyebrows, myself included. The real question in deleting an article is typically whether or not the topic is notable enough to warrant an article, not who wrote it. Often times, however, when the username is closely related to the topic of the article, it is regarded by same as fancruft, which typically leads to it being deleted, yet I would say that if the article is well-written and about a notable-enough topic, your username should not matter. That being said, you might want to consider changing your username, as it's often a bad idea to name yourself after a notable character/person. Wikipedia:Username states that you should not "use the real name of well-known figure, especially one still living, unless you are that person," and it is typically encouraged that you use your own name or something close to it (i.e. my name is Daniel Cannon, but my pseudonym here is AmiDaniel). If you have any more questions, feel free to ask =). AmiDaniel (Talk) 22:20, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks Ami. I added a request to usurp/merge my current account with my old account from wikipedia, that uses my more prefered name. ATM I can't edit the article due to lack of time, but it was question that bugged me. Thanks for the Wikipedia:Username link, I wasn't aware of that at the time I created this account. I normally enjoy my internet privacy, however, but given a good reception (relatively consistently) from Wikipedia, I'm sure I'll change it to that, sooner or later. Thanks again. Logical2u 22:33, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I hope everything works out for you. AmiDaniel (Talk) 23:17, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Smart Merge: Moon for Sale/Extraterrestrial Real Estate.
[edit]I'm going to revert one of your additions to ExtraTerrestrial Real Estate, ok? That way, I can work around the AutoBot and the Double Topic. Logical2u 19:03, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- sure, do whatever it takes. Virgiliu
Thanks!
[edit]Thank you very much for reverting the damage in such a timely manner. --TonySt 22:26, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Margolis Process regarding Quarks.
[edit]- I think the Margolis Process is notable. 24.97.82.65
- This was the statement removed from my user page. Reply is on the User in question's page.
Logical2u 18:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC)\
- Update, June 1st. User in question vandalised one of my links in order to try to convince people that "I love the Margolis Process" which gets 0 Google hits and for some reason redirected me to Microsoft's main page... Logical2u 20:40, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Update, June 2nd. After removing said link because it was giving me trouble, User in question proceeded to vandalize my user page in a very blatant way.
Hans Blinx???
[edit]Greetings - not sure what the right protocol is here, but I would appreciate your attention to the article on Hans Blix, which you have recently edited. A user insists on inserting a section on False Statements that I think is clearly appropriate. Rather than just removing it (again), I hope to bring a few more cool heads into the discussion.
thanks much,
Steve User:67.172.157.77 Unsigned.
Re:Melnikov Disambig
[edit]I'm glad you appreciate the category addition. To explain the comment a little, user:Sheynhertz-Unbayg has been adding a bunch of pages (and adding a bunch of stuff to existing disambiguation pages) about German and Hebrew names and how they relate to eachother. No one is really quite sure what to make of these pages; they are obviously the product of hard work and lots of research, but his English skills aren't too good. Some of us have gathered them all up into cateogry:onomastics and began trying to clean them up some. Right now the consensus is that these could be useful eventually.
The Melnikov page that you added seemed like a much better quality page with the same goals as all the pages Sheynhertz-Unbayg has been added. I thought adding it to the category might help people who are trying to clean Sheynhertz-Unbayg's stuff up to see what an onomastics page could look like.
It sort of suprised me that anyone other than him would think to make a page like that. ONUnicorn 15:03, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: New user for your attention.
[edit]Thanks, I'll keep an eye on him. He looks like a legitimate contributer that happened to pick a username that's similar to mine, but thanks anyway for the heads up.--digital_me(TalkˑContribs) 22:52, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
Help me!
[edit]Help me wikipedia Administrators, you're my only hope!! Kaisuan is Wikipedia Search, but I can't put it back into place, and there are like 20 redirects around it now, and arrgh so confused!!! Please, please, please, help someone! Anyone! Logical2u 23:58, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- Could you be more detailed in what your problem is, please? --JD[don't talk|email] 00:04, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Never mind, I just did it myself. I was getting stressed out over the vandalism of WP:Search into a vanity article (Which actually ended up deleting WP Search) but I just reverted... but I lost the history of the page. Uh... that might need sorting out in the future, actually. But most of the trouble is over. Sorry about being so vague. Logical2u 00:06, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Righto. —JD[don't talk|email] 00:07, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I just noticed that User:Kaisun is back to using the page Kaisun, which is the original Wikipedia Search Page, as her/his page... if you could figure out a way to move Kaisun and Talk:Kaisun back to Wikipedia:Searching and Wikipedia Talk:Searching and then protecting Kaisun and Talk Kaisun from Kaisun from creating an article about him/her self (Which caused the trouble in the first place) the edit histories would be restored and all the shit about redirects, double redirects, would be ended. Also, Kaisun needs a quick message dropped off... this stuff requires things like reverting, moving, deleting, etc... very beyond the average user... hopefully you are still watching this page. Logical2u 00:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, I think I see the problem. I'll have a word with that user. —JD[don't talk|email] 00:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Ok, hopefully this mess can be sorted out (The skills required to do this are currently above and beyond me). Thanks for helping out in such a timely fashion (Vanity articles are so frustrating, doubly so when they disrupt wikipedia help pages.) Thanks again, I have faith in the Administrators!!! Logical2u 00:16, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not an administrator; but I'll do my best to resolve the situation. —JD[don't talk|email] 00:19, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
Your e-mail may get spammed...
[edit]I REALLY don't think its a good idea to post your e-mail around where webcrawlers can find it. This recommendation is repeated in Guideline #3 in Wikipedia:Help Desk.
--Wslack 23:54, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- K. Isn;t the whole "Email this user" thing pretty unprotected as well, though? Logical2u 00:17, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- You have to register and authenticate an e-mail address to e-mail others, bots don't do that. I was a little heavy. You probably can put it up as (this isn't real) henry34 at msn dot com, or something similar.
--Wslack 01:39, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Don't worry
[edit]Hi, it's no problem. I didn't think you were stalking me but such a strange coincidence, I could hardly let it pass :-). Hope it's alright. Best --Lo2u (T • C) 20:03, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
sorry mate
[edit]Sorry mate, but your meaasges on James May's talk page prove that you are a sad little prat. --Joshuarooney2006 17:31, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- Pardon me? That was not only many months ago, but I was posting on the talk page something that had been blanked by an Anon (And added by an anon), and I was removing some random stuff from the main page (which was added back in about a day later). I felt the need to talk about it because I thought it might be important in some way. If you want to attack me for trying to Assume good faith, go ahead. I frankly don't know who you are or what you are doing. Logical2u 19:23, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
You should have a userbox "this user is canadian, he is a french bastard" --Joshuarooney2006 15:51, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest you work out your angry issues outside of wikipedia. Logical2u 16:53, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
I suggest you kill yourself. --Joshuarooney2006 13:33, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Well then. Logical2u 13:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Hi: no, that's fine. I was spending too much time chasing down and tagging the various nonsense links anyway.--Anthony.bradbury 23:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Username changes
[edit]As you requested, I've performed the two changes, ArdoMelnikov to Logical2u and the former Logical2u to Logical2u2. Since you control both accounts, I'm letting you know on this talk page only. Remember to move the user pages and talk pages to the appropriate venues, using the "move" tab on the right-hand corner of your screen. Regards, Redux 00:31, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Only just spotted it but thanks for unBitching me! Can't have made a friend there! Cheers --Nigel (Talk) 07:52, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Keypublisher
[edit]I have replaced the {{db}} (speedy deletion) tag you put on Keypublisher with a {{prod}}. Failure to meet the requirements of WP:CORP (which is only a guideline and not policy) is not a criterion for speedy deletion. Agent 86 00:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Get an account
[edit]Thanks for your recomendation, I have an account, however, I am not using a computer I trust the security of, and my account password is used for other things. You can reach my permenant account at user:ikanreed. Thanks 152.1.157.46 23:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
ok...
[edit]So what the hell dose that mean. Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 could I have Test 100000000?578 19:33, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
- So its just another one of Wikipedias pointless things. I have done so much vandalism to wikipedia its not even funny and go ahead report this account to an admin they might block it but I dont really care.578 00:20, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
An apology
[edit]I am truly sorry for the personal attacks i made on you a few months ago, i jope we can forget this, and build a stable freindship.
--Maxasus 10:52, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

A polite notice.
[edit]I dont think it fair to side against maxasus, he is a sock puppet, but it stated clearley on his userpage, he wanted a clean start.
--Backhander 13:21, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
"new?"
[edit]I have been here since wikipeida started, not using the same username, i think i do have experiance to comment, not attack.
--Backhander 13:38, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
7?
[edit]who would they be? --Backhander 13:54, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
lets count.
[edit]1, 2.
you said seven.
if your going to accuse me, get it right.
--Backhander 14:02, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
PS
[edit]I told eternal exuinox not to come back, how was this abusive?
the anon user dosent count, he is not a wikipedian, therefore is not covered by the no personal attacks rule, ""and"", i simply told him that he, and vandals like him are pathetic, which is the truth.
--Backhander 14:23, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
well, im sorry, i was under the illusion that seven, and several were the same thing.
It isnt distruption, it is a dipute, i will contest any block you give me.
ps: sorry for spamming your talk page, it really wasnt my intentions.
--Backhander 14:40, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]My cousin is an admin, i wont mention his username, you block me, he unblocks me.

Our wee friend
[edit]Seems he got what was coming to him, and I didnt even need to do it which was nice! :) Glen 16:52, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Re: crackwhore
[edit]I disagree because they are different definitions. Valoem talk 01:03, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Hey, thats cool, just telling you know my opinion. I like how you linked lurker for me =D. Cheers Valoem talk 01:16, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
It's alright, I saw that you had been tagging it with CSD notices the last few times it was recreated by looking on the deletion log. I gave the guy a 48 hrs. block. If he comes back I'll put a deleted page template on it and protect it, then give him a week! Cheers, --Fire Star 火星 14:08, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
