Dylan's Peer Review

[edit]

Hi Logan,

Gentrification of San Francisco: Regarding the bit about rent control, perhaps you could link demographics of houselessness in SF to show who was impacted by the decrease in total rental units and subsequent increase in price due to rent control laws.

San Francisco Housing Shortages: I agree that the page would benefit from a section on equity, starting with what you suggested about census data and Filmore District redevelopment. Other factors you can use to illustrate equity or lack thereof are average income/poverty line, voter turnout, houselessness, the changing shape/spread of ethnic neighborhoods including concentration of races according to region-- you can even link in the gentrification article to show how they intersect.

Best wishes on completing the actual drafting of what you would add to each article, including citations from scholarly sources. Things to keep in mind will be maintaining clear structure and logical organization, balanced sections regarding length and perspectives, neutral content/delivery, and the use of reliable sources.
