- There is currently not a way to edit Wikipedia externally; i.e. with an executable program, although such a program is being worked on by people. I'm not sure how active the project is now. If you don't like the edit box, you can copy its contents to an external program like Vim or Notepad.exe, work on stuff, and then copy it back to the editing box, and save.
