5/6RVR Pipes and Drums
[edit]Is 5/6RVR Pipes and Drums part of the 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment or is it an independent military unit which reports to the Royal Victoria Regiment? I really don't think that it's notable enough to warrant its own article (per Wikipedia:Notability) and should be merged into either 5/6RVR or the RVR article. Merging 5/6RVR Pipes and Drums with 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment
[edit]While the pipes and drums are technically part of the 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment they are also composed of non-members of 5th/6th Battalion, Royal Victoria Regiment. That is, in some ways it is a "community of practice" that brings pipers and drummers from various locations together to form a functioning pipes and drums. Does that make sense?
- Sort-of. It sounds like this forms part of 5/6RVR though so I think that the current material should be moved into that article. --Nick Dowling 08:43, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
