[edit]Hello SproutSEO, welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy that accounts may not imply shared use by multiple persons, I have blocked this account. Your username is the only reason for this block. Please take a moment to choose a personal username, for example you may use "John at Sprout" if the name is available, or any name which represents yourself as an individual. To request a change of username, copy and paste the following text below this notice: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
You may instead choose to abandon this account and create a new account with an acceptable username. If you have any questions please feel free to ask here. Thank you, and I apologize for the inconvenience. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 13:39, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Please note that your original name was particularly appalling, as SEO by definition is editing not to make a better article but to get better search engine results. SEO editing, therefore, is really a form of vandalism (which, of course, we will not tolerate.) --Orange Mike | Talk 14:56, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- @Orange Mike: Thanks for this additional background. We definitely aren't editing 'for SEO;' that is just in my current job title and in the spirit of transparency I included it in my username. The SEO team did not write any of the proposed changes; instead, we were editing for accuracy since things have changed since the last time it was edited. Thank you again for the information and I'll review WP:NOTADVERTISING with the team writing the entry. Liz at Sprout (talk) 16:29, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- If there is a "team" editing, they will all need their own accounts and all need to identify their conflict of interest and paid status. You may also wish to review the procedure regarding edit requests to existing articles and Articles for Creation if you want to attempt to create a new one. 331dot (talk) 16:32, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
