Hi. I noticed your edits to Nathan M Farrugia. If you have a conflict of interest be sure to properly announce such, as the terms of use now require disclosure. Chris Troutman (talk) 00:18, 25 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've read two of his novels, but I don't think that constitutes a conflict of interest, does it?

AFD

[edit]

Hi there! I fixed your nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/James L. Hurley. Next time, try using one of the automated tools so that you don't miss anything. It would also be a good idea to have a careful read of WP:BEFORE. Cheers, Stlwart111 01:43, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Stalwart, Thank you so much for remedying the coding problem, if that is what it was. Rest assured, I did read the BEFORE guidelines, before everything. Mostly, what I get from WP:BEFORE is that there might be notability that is not documented in the article. That is not the case in either of my deletion nominations. I still think the list of pikeville presidents page needs to be deleted, but will not take any further action until you think I'm ready. Thank you again. --Literaturegirl (talk) 17:11, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. WP:BEFORE includes suggestions for dealing with articles you believe require improvement, and subjects you believe fail to meet inclusion criteria. Tagging, editing and talk-page discussions are all recommended actions before (hence the title) you nominate something for deletion. It also includes helpful links to deletion process instructions so that you can nominate something properly (if you choose to do so manually). Again, the automated tools make the process much easier. I didn't close either discussion; they are both there and can be contributed to. Stlwart111 23:32, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of presidents of the University of Pikeville. Maybe slow down a bit and just check that edits are working properly before trying others. Cheers, Stlwart111 01:59, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Have I slowed down enough, yet? --Literaturegirl (talk) 17:11, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) You might want to try Twinkle, one of the automated tools Stalwart111 mentioned above. ― Qwerfjkltalk 19:18, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, though your response to some people in that first AFD suggests you're getting way too emotionally involved in a routine deletion discussion. The vast majority of discussions will include for and against arguments. Those that oppose your view (even those who suggest "trouting", which is a tongue-in-cheek "reprimand" between editors) don't do so with any personal malice (trust me, you'll be able to recognise a response with malice when you see it). Your nomination posed the question "Unless there is a policy that all university presidents are automatically notable..." and the response from some there is simply Yes, there is. Okay, question answered. It's not bullying or a personal attack to answer a hypothetical you posed. I'll be the first to agree that Wikipedia's policies don't always make sense, especially when referenced mid-prose as bizarre acronyms in almost in-joke fashion. Stlwart111 23:32, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your request

While I was looking through your contributions, I also saw this. Both external links have now been added to Frances Parthenope Verney. Stlwart111 23:58, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not sure if you know..

[edit]

Hey, I’m not Good with tech, especially when it comes to using Wikipedia abs trying to talk to others but I was just reading about the movie ‘The Good Nurse’, and saw your comment wondering why the nurse who helped captured the evil psycho doesn’t have a Wikipedia page? I’m not sure if you know this but I’ve just come across her on here. She is now a reiki healer.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Wikipedia. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. The banner saying that additional citations are needed is not a threat of deletion. Further, all information on Wikipedia should be supported by citations (with rare exceptions). Please see Verification. ~ Pbritti (talk) 00:15, 9 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I gave a valid reason in the edit summary. Literaturegirl (talk) 18:08, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And it was my intention to remove the template. You should not template. With the time you take to template, please do something constructive. Literaturegirl (talk) 18:09, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Citations for that article are available in the other articles about the labours of Herakles. Please use some of those citations, and quit templating. It isn't helpful. Literaturegirl (talk) 18:21, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your rationales mistook the templates as deletion threats. You seem interested in the subjects. You seem like the perfect person to make the necessary changes to allow the articles in question to conform with WP:V. ~ Pbritti (talk) 18:37, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
True, but I'm doing more important things. And now I have to sign out of Wikipedia so you don't interrupt me again. Literaturegirl (talk) 19:24, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please remember that Wikipedia demands a high degree of collaboration and consider if your dismissive replies here live up to your high expectation of civility you reference on your user page. Should you ever sign back into Wikipedia, please consider your fellow editors not as antagonists, but as peers. ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:06, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
