Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Michael Sadleir, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 14:49, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Mabel Clint

[edit]

On 17 November 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mabel Clint, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after having to leave her World War I posting in Greece upon contracting dysentery, Canadian nurse Mabel Clint later re-enlisted to serve out the war in England and France? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mabel Clint. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mabel Clint), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hello, LiteratureCompanion

Thank you for creating Frank Kane (author).

User:Gazal world, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Thanks for creating this article. However the article needs more references. You can search for the references on Google books and cite them into article. Perhaps this reference would be helpful. Thanks.

Gazal world (talk) 19:15, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Gazal world: Thank you for your information and the reference but as you will note I have already used that reference for the article. I made some minor changes based on that reference. If you know of any other reference I would be happy to use it. As you are probably aware, library access due to the pandemic has been very restricted so my research opportunities are limited to online sources. Once these restrictions have been lifted I hope to search for new sources and then update these articles forthwith. Thanks. LiteratureCompanion (talk) 22:13, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ernest Headly Sprague moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Ernest Headly Sprague, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 16:44, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, LiteratureCompanion. This is a bot-delivered message letting you know that Draft:Ernest Headly Sprague, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Drafts that have not been edited for six months may be deleted, so if you wish to retain the page, please edit it again or request that it be moved to your userspace.

If the page has already been deleted, you can request it be undeleted so you can continue working on it.

Ways to improve Cortland Fitzsimmons

Hello, LiteratureCompanion,

Thank you for creating Cortland Fitzsimmons.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hello, thank you for contributing to the encyclopedia. I think this person's biography needs more in depth secondary sources. The format of a several references need work. See MOS:CITE

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Bruxton}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Bruxton (talk) 01:10, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bruxton: Hello, I am puzzled by your tagging of this article. I googled this author and found an article on the French wikipedia site. I basically translated the article contents from there and ported it to the the english side. I found a few comparable english references. If the article is good enough for the French wiki, what's the issue for the english wiki? LiteratureCompanion (talk) 21:20, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I did not find much on the person. Bruxton (talk) 21:51, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That is not what I asked. To reiterate, why is the article good enough for French wiki but not for English wiki? LiteratureCompanion (talk) 22:02, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Each Wikipedia has their own standards. Also maybe the page has not been reviewed there. If the subject is notable you should be able to easily find references to add to the article. Bruxton (talk) 01:18, 7 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Ernest Headly Sprague

[edit]

Hello, LiteratureCompanion. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Ernest Headly Sprague".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
