Hi
[edit]First, according to the history, you didn't create it. It was created by User:Florventure. If this is yourself, I would advise you to look at WP:SOCK which is about the use of multiple accounts (to sum it up - don't do it). Secondly, with things like "An award winning retailer known for their competitive pricing, distinctive designs and quality jewellery" and "Solitaire: Reflecting power, personality and individuality, the solitaire collection from Pure Gold Jewellers creates a rich impression. Available in different carats and sizes, the single solitaire perched to signify beauty is available in yellow and white gold" in the article, you can't see that it is promotional? Third, the references. The Khaleej Times one is a plug for a new line. So is the Muscat Daily one. The Zawya one is a press release. BBC - might be OK if there is more than I can get from it, which is "Dubai might have been founded on the pearl trade, but it's now a key centre for the gold trade too. As the country's biggest gold retailer, Pure Gold is expanding into Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. It is also investing $200m to open 200 stores across India. So who is the man with the golden touch? Nima Abu-Wardeh meets the firm's founder Firoz Merchant to find out how he created a business empire." and nothing more. The National's article is interesting, but doesn't really discuss the company. All in all, I would suggest looking at WP:RS to learn about what are considered reliable sources and WP:GNG for general notability. If you recreate the article, do it in your userspace (ask if you don't know how), and get an experienced editor to look at it before you move it to main space. Oh and another little thing - when you post on talk pages, please add your post at the bottom of the page - some people have very long pages and it is hard to find something in the middle. Start a new thread with ==Your title== then on the next line start your message, and at the end sign it with ~~~~. (Put what you want in where I've put Your title.) Good luck. [edit]I have moved your article to your userspace so you may work on it at your own pace before resubmitting it to AfC. It is located here.
As far as the article itself is concerned, here are some problems which should be corrected before continuing.
Sources
[edit]Your sources are sometimes trivial and do not contribute to the overall article.
- [1] Trivial mention of PGJ, more focused on gold and the industry in general
- [2] Trivial mention of the company, focuses again more on industry and economy. More of a press release.
- [3] Trivial mention of award.
- [4] Trivial
- [7] About owner, not company.
- [8] Trivial PR
- [9] Trivial PR
Quality of article
[edit]Again, things like "Best Customer Service" awards are usually considered puffery and are not suited to encyclopaedic articles.
Put simply, this article needs to be more than just a list of company awards. That alone cannot sustain an article.
