Request for help with editing the page Uta Ibrahimi

[edit]

Hello Diana, I am fairly new on the Wikipedia editing process. I am attempting to update the Bio for Uta Ibrahimi, and I have her permission to use content that she has already published on her uebsite. However, I am not entirely certain as to how to proceed with adding the content, because earlier it was removed based on the copyright issues. Also there are meny external media links that I'd like to add to the article, for referencing. If you could give me a little bit more information as to how I should proceed I would greatly appreciate it. Also, is there any way I can confirm that I already have the permission to use content created by Uta Ibrahimi?

LiridoneDemaj (talk) 08:11, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

LiridoneDemaj, we need to have documentation that shows the copyright holders have given permission for the material to be copied to this website. Wikipedia has procedures in place for this purpose. Please see WP:Donating copyrighted materials for an explanation of how to do it. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. As an alternative, you could re-write the material using your own words. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:43, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, LiridoneDemaj, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Information icon Hello, LiridoneDemaj, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Latif Demaj (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 15:02, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LiridoneDemaj. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Izno (talk) 22:59, 21 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I need help unblocking the account. LilyDemaj is another of my accounts (which I created because I couldn't find the original login to this account.
LatifDemaj and LiridoneDemaj are two separate accounts. When I wasn't able to do edits with this account I asked my brother for help.
LilyDemaj as an account is mine but I created it because I wasn't being able to find the original login of my original Wikipedia Account.
What can I do to unblock the account please?
All the changes that I intended to do are accurate and reflective of accurate info. I do want to be a contributor to Wikipedia but without breaking any of the rules. Does Wikipedia have a call support system I can call to help resolve the issue?
Thank you again.
Best,
Liridona LiridoneDemaj (talk) 13:48, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, Wikipedia is entirely volunteer driven, there is no call center to call. Wikipedia matters are handled here, on Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 07:16, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hi Izno, It's been a while since I had used my account and in a rush to edit I didn't understand what I was doing wrong. To the best of my knowledge the information I was adding to Wikipedia I knew were/are accurate. I am sorry that I didn't follow all proper rules and was ignorant of the Wikipedia process. The account LilyDemaj is my other account, I created it when I couldn't initially find the login credentials for my main account LiridoneDemaj. The account LatifDemaj however it's my brother's account. I'd like to formally request to unblock my account, as I do want to be a Wikipedia contributor, but following proper rules and procedures. I am willing to learn and improve and I don't intend to be disruptive. Is there anything I can do to revert the unblocking process and resume contributing on Wikipedia? Thank you again. Also for the account LatifDemaj, it's my brother's account and I wouldn't want his account to be penalized for a mistake I have done. Thank you again. Best, Liridona LiridoneDemaj (talk) 15:17, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I find the simple disavowal of a COI with PrintWithMe and/or SipWithMe unpersuasive, particularly in combination with other assertions made in the below discussion. signed, Rosguill talk 15:08, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

He's blocked too and will need to appeal himself. With regards to him, this is meat puppetry. You and him should have been very clear from the beginning that you were two separate people. You also should have said from the beginning that you created a new account. You also seem to have a connection to the subjects of your edits, if so, now is the time to say so. 331dot (talk) 07:19, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Liridona LiridoneDemaj (talk) 14:15, 02 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reply 331dot. I understand so far what I've done wrong, I was not aware from the beginning of the process and that mistake is on me. Again, my intention was not to be disruptive, so I apologize. What can I do to get my account unblocked? Also, I do not directly have a contractual connection with the subjects of my edits at this time nor am I being paid to make the edits. If I'm not permitted to do the changes, is there a current Wikipedia contributor who could do so? Thank you again, and please let me know what can I do to fix this and unblock my account. Or does Wikipedia have a live call support that I can connect with? Even if I am not able to do edits on this topic, I still would like to have an active account where I can proactively contribute now and again.

Liridona LiridoneDemaj (talk) 14:31, 02 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You were very specific with your wording that you have no paid relationship or "contractual connection" with the subject of your edits. Do you have any form of connection, association, or relationship with them?
Izno What do you think of their explanation above? 331dot (talk) 14:51, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@331dot, when I made the block I thought WP:BROTHER might be the explanation for the names of the accounts, so I'm willing to accept that on its face. However, I do not for a second believe these accounts have no connection to the subject about which they were writing. Izno (talk) 17:19, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. 331dot (talk) 17:53, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both for getting back to me. For me and my brother's account those are two separate accounts (and I can prove that by providing IDs). (Latif Demaj & Liridone Demaj are two separate accounts and two separate people). The account Lily Demaj I created initially when I couldn't find the login of my original account.
Regarding the subject: I know of people who work there but I have no close connections with (and as I stated neither do I have a contract with the company, nor is someone paying me to do the edits). The information that I was trying to provide is accurate and I was not doing it for promotional purposes. You probably have access to the draft, you can verify the info on your own, that the information is accurate. Again, I was not trying to be promotional, I was trying to update information that is accurate and make it up-to-date.
I do not know how else to appeal to this situation.
I had issues with the account way back too, when I was literally working with Uta Ibrahimi, and had her direct permission to upload her media in her profile.
I understand that you guys are doing your job. But for me it is frustrating as well, because I do not really understand how else to approach this situation.
As for the wording, I am trying to keep the conversation professional, especially since English is not my first language. I don't really know anymore what can I do in my end to prove that I am a real person, who wants to do real edits, and potentially contribute to a platform. Is there a call/video chat support system that I can connect with to resolve this situation? LiridoneDemaj (talk) 16:20, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean by "working with" Uta Ibrahimi on her Wikipedia page? There are no "profiles" here; this is an encyclopedia, not social media. Could you clarify? CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 16:21, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
