Welcome
[edit]Hi Linxgos. I see you've been doing some vandalism cleanup. Thank you for that. I wanted to talk to you a little bit about your edit here. It's good to warn folks or ask them to stop when they're being disruptive, but personal comments like "your not funny your not being a productive member of society" aren't the best way to do that. There's a bunch of pre-made templates that you can use to warn people when they're not behaving. You can find them here. You can test the templates here. Also, if you're going to be doing anti-vandal work I strongly recommend you read Wikipedia:Vandalism if you haven't already, especially the "For Beginners" section under How to respond to vandalism. I found that information very helpful when I was starting out. If you ever have any questions I recommend asking for help at The Teahouse. Anyway, welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing. [edit]I removed the 2021 opponents table because we have the schedule out and therefore the former table is no longer needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.160.222.2 (talk) 13:08, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Sorry about that I undid my rollback and I hope you have a good time editing wikipedia Linxgos (talk) 13:14, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Revert on Thagomizer page
[edit]I don't understand why you reverted my edit to Thagomizer. On the Shmoo page as it currently stands, "In science" appears only in a comment, thus linking to [[Shmoo#In science]] does not work to go to a particular section; "Eponyms" is the (uncommented) section heading there. --116.86.4.41 (talk) 13:05, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- I undid my rollback and removed the warning from your talk page
- Sorry for my incorrect vandalism assessment Linxgos (talk) 13:22, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Please don't ask for rollback privileges yet
[edit]Given your inexperience here and this restoration of promotional and copyright violation content [1], plus the warning you issued me, I'd strongly suggest you take more time to discern good edits from bad. Thank you, 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 14:52, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
- Upon further evaluation I understand that the content I reverted is clearly promotional and I should not have reverted your edit.
- Sorry about that
- Thanks for letting me know and I will be more carful next time when reverting edits on articles that have the copyright maintenance template. Linxgos (talk) 15:03, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
