Disambiguation link notification for March 9
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of largest art museums in the world, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Roma. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Cleveland Museum
[edit]I don't hold myself out as a museum expert, so it is very possible that the article reporting the increase in building size is not exactly the same as gallery space. However, I'm responding to a request from the museum, who very properly did not violate conflict of interest and make a change themselves but wrote to the Wikimedia foundation asking for an update in view of their recent doubling of gallery size.
If you are knowledgeable about the subject could you look into the correct value, as your reversion to the old value is definitely not correct?--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:58, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- Please note that the article about the museum Cleveland Museum of Art identifies the size as 592 000 ft.² That may well be a conflation of gallery size and building size but it was remarkably close to the area in the reference I cited. If the Cleveland museum article needs editing is this something you can look into? I see from the talk page that you are very interested in museum gallery size issues.--S Philbrick(Talk) 21:03, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hello S Philbrick. The current reference does not seem to be a problem at all. It is a very precise number from 2016, and the new wing opened in 2013. It replaced another reference, an article specifically about the extension, that had about the same figures : http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/26/arts/design/26classical.html
- Many articles for individual museums confuse gallery space and building space, but I don't want to take care of more than one hundred pages. LinguisticStudent (talk) 22:10, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to List of largest art museums, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Horse Eye Jack (talk) 22:26, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
