Overall, I think your article could have more hyperlinks which attach it to other articles; it seems to be pretty related to a lot of areas in neuroscience as well as general biology, and sometimes that stuff gets technical and people want more information which is readily available in other places on Wikipedia. Also, when I've looked at other Wikipedia articles, it seems like the good ones have a lot of connections. I added a few but there's probably more spots that could use them. The majority of my comments have to do with adding images. Below I picked out a few specific sections where I think the reader would really benefit from having an image to look at along with your information. I corrected just a few little grammar things that made it clearer to me, personally, but feel free to change them back if they change the meaning of the passage; my background in this area is essentially nonexistent.

Function of Robo: I think a picture/diagram next to the paragraph where you talk about function could be really informative, especially if people less well-versed in the area don't know what axonal mid-line crossing is. Gene location section: Here would be a great place for a diagram possibly of the genotype/chromosome you are describing.

The protein structure section was confusing for me; maybe you could smooth out the writing? I wasn't sure what to change to make it better for me, it could be that I just need to spend more time with biology concepts. I don't really have a good picture in my mind what the Robo gene looks like after reading it, not to sound redundant but another picture/diagram if possible?

Maybe a picture under axonal guidance? Sentences regarding molecular mechanisms/processes are confusing without a diagram to follow along.

Add some info to 'guidance of non neural cells'. Maybe how it happens? Just a brief summary, a sentence or two would suffice. It just seems a little bare.

A picture under the Slit/Robo pathway would be nice for similar reasons.

More under the dyslexia section if possible. Maybe studies that have been conducted which support this connection, future research, or something along those lines

Other than that this was a really great article, you did a nice job synthesizing information on a very complex topic! Nice work! :) Vomackae (talk) 03:15, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
