File permission problem with File:Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Igor Raufovich Ashurbeyli.jpg, which you've attributed to Igor Ashurbeyli. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:28, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Hello Linda. I received your email, and am replying here. Please don't send the permission email to me personally; please send it to the OTRS team at permissions-en@wikimedia.org. I don't know if the fact that it's in Russian will be a problem or not, sorry. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:49, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of ROOM - the Space Journal
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on ROOM - the Space Journal, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Randykitty (talk) 09:11, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Asgardia-1 launch Comment
[edit]Hi Linda, I've just seen that you added a new section to the Asgardia article on the satellite launch, the content is fine but please remember that when new content like this is added it should be accompanied by references, I see that you entered a 'bare URL' which is OK but is not a proper reference. Please use the drop-down referencing option in the top-left of the editing window 'cite web' and then enter the details. This means that your content is more likely to stay on wikipedia as other editors and admins may remove content that is not referenced. All the best Mountaincirque 09:35, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
Hi Linda, I just noticed the 'global media coverage' section in the Asgardia article, this is not a normal section to have in an article or we would see them in the vast majority of articles. However, the references in the section are very useful to improve the article, what needs to be done is to move the content and references to other unreferenced sections to justify the content there and then ultimately delete the section (you wouldn't see a 'media coverage' section in the article on the United Kingdom for instance). I'm happy to help but I'm working on other projects mostly at the moment, Mountaincirque · Join WikiProject Karate? 10:01, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
- PS there are too many sections in the article, many could be grouped together to make it more readable. Also, please use non-primary sources as much as possible Mountaincirque · Join WikiProject Karate? 10:01, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
Hello! Thank you for e-mail I will remove this section and add information from it to History and Asgardia-1 sattelite sections

Asgardia
[edit]Hi Linda, to respond briefly and generally to your note, my advice is that we need to to find a wider range of non-primary sources to balance the article, there were way too many direct links to the Asgardia website initially which led to the site being re-worked. I do think that the information in the 'legal status' section is unbalanced currently and borders on original research. I would suggest that you tread carefully and go down the route of improving and balancing the article content rather than removing or significantly amending content. I will try to support where possible but I am busy with work currently Mountaincirque · Join the Karate Task Force? 14:00, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
- PS: My main advice would be to search for articles and news stories from reliable sources that offer balance to the current sources and work on integrating those into the article. Mountaincirque · Join the Karate Task Force? 14:02, 20 July 2017 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Linda Yeleussizova, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to ROOM the Space Journal have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 15:02, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for uploading File:ROOM the Space Journal.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Asgardia
[edit]Hi Linda. I reverted your recent edits as they did not improve the article. I also see that you appear to be intimately connected to Asgardia, so I've added a WP:COI notice to the talkpage. Please have a read of that policy, which will also apply to other Asgardia/Ashurbeyli-related subjects. Cheers, Bromley86 (talk) 22:56, 13 August 2017 (UTC) .
