I have been advised by Jeremy, (see below) to add citations, which I did. I also edited the text to make it shorted, which was requested by a tag from orange mike. I humbly request that now the tags be removed now, if I have done what was requested. Clearly, I didn't know I was not able to correct things myself. All apologies. I am a novice at this site, was glad to see it created and would love to see it stay up. Thanks for uploading File:Linda.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Autobiography and conflict of interest

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at Linda Wolf. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

Re: adding sources

Hi Linda, as you have discovered, Wikipedia strongly discourages people from writing autobiographies (see WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY). However I doubt that the article about you will be deleted, so if you can help provide sources for the text that is already there it would be helpful. Firstly, the sources should be third party sources and they should meet Wikipedia's guidelines on reliable sources. Once you have found reliable sources you can add them to the article as follows:

Text for which the reference is provided.<ref>Text of the reference</ref>

This will appear in the article as follows:

Text for which the reference is provided.[1]

and the reference will appear in the references section:

If you have a suitable photograph that you or the copyright holder (if you are not the photographer) is prepared to release under a free license,[1] I suggest that you upload it to our sister project, the Wikimedia Commons. Once an image is at the commons you can add it to the article using the code:

Hi. The age of the sources doesn't matter, and offline sources are OK—so long as someone could find the source in a library without too much trouble. It is OK for you to add sources to the article yourself, but you should probably avoid adding new content to the article now—it is not unusual though for people to suggest additions or corrections to articles about them on the article's talk page. The sources that you choose need to show that you meet the basic inclusion criteria for biographies, and preferably also that you meet one or more of the inclusion criteria for creative professionals—articles about you in mainstream publications would be ideal. We have a number of templates that can help you format citations in a consistent style (e.g. Template:Cite web, Template:Cite news, and Template:Cite journal), however, if you are unsure how to use these templates don't worry, just add the references and someone else will likely format them at some point in the future. Regarding the tags on the article, please don't remove them yourself—if no one else does it, I will remove them when you have added sources. Well, we did it! Thank you for taking a look at the page now and hopefully we fixed the errors adding resources that are certainly verifiable -- hopefully also, you can remove the tags that look so stunningly like I'm making up my life story! OK, I have removed some of the tags from your page. I have left the conflict of interest tag in place because you are still the major editor of the article; this tag should guide other editors to work on the article. If you want to suggest changes you could do so on the article's talk page; if there are urgent changes needed you could message me directly, or better still you can put the {{Help me}} template on this page with your request—someone should respond to requests made using that template within a few days.
