Unsolicited advice

[edit]

I don't mean to overwhelm, but I'd like to encourage you to register a Wikipedia account if you foresee yourself editing on even an occasional basis. It helps you own your edits, and sometimes IP addresses change, which can complicate conversations here. By the way, if you're associated at all with Sanford H. Calhoun High School, as an alum, a student, an employee, or even a school board or PTA member, that's no problem at all. But I suggest disclosing that connection and having a look at WP:COI (conflict of interest policy; sorry for more alphabet soup). Submitting reliable sources, especially third-party sources, is still allowed in many cases, though it's always good form to run it by talk pages first (Talk:Sanford H. Calhoun High School). It's also acceptable for anyone to remove unsourced content, or content that is not supported by reliable sources. I'm glad to see you've made excellent improvements, and I hope you'll become a regular! Cheers! JFHJr () 05:06, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and you can remove warning templates (above) anytime by choosing "Edit" at the top and deleting them. JFHJr () 05:08, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help. I am a PTA mommy and a tad technologically challenged. I will have my husband take a look and see if he can take over from here.

I think you're doing fine. Better than most! Of course, do as you like. But for starters, an easy thing to do is sign your talk page comments with four ~'s. ~~~~ If it's alright, I'll remove the warning templates. You're not being disruptive and they ugly up a talk page. If you register an account, I'll transfer all uncited content to your user draft space, and you'll be able to work there without being disturbed. You can find cites at your leisure, adding to the article when they're ready. When you get the feel for navigating your draft, you can make drafts for other articles you see and want to create or improve. JFHJr () 05:30, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I think I just made one. LindaGeneNYLindaGeneNY (talk) 05:41, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I've moved the old talk page here, for continuity. Your draft space is here. All the best! JFHJr () 05:56, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
