A tag has been placed on Linczone.co.uk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Linczone.GIF)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Linczone.GIF. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:25, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:CVU status

[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Addition of flags to F1 articles

[edit]

Hi Linczone. I notice you've added flags to several Formula One-related articles recently. We're currently having a discussion about the use of flags at the F1 WikiProject. You may care to participate in the discussion here. DH85868993 (talk) 00:47, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful with reference tags

[edit]

Regarding [1], be careful when you use references already defined: Close the tag properly with <ref name="blah" /> rather than <ref name="blah">. The Wikipedia parser thinks the next bit of text is a reference and will not display the text after the reference tag.

Other than that, great work with that article. x42bn6 Talk Mess 16:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Just let you know I first added the Reference correctly but for for some reason my first edit wasn't registered. Probably my fault but anyway thanks for the reminder - LinczoneTalk/Watch 16:41, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

2008 Formula One season

[edit]

Many thanks for changing link to ref'. I was hoping someone would as I had no idea how to do it. Paste (talk) 19:44, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They were replaced because they were the references i put in originally when I wrote that part of the article. hey take me ages to put down for nothing.Chubbennaitor (talk) 10:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was a bit confused as to why the relative references were replaced, It seems a bit unnecessary. It doesn't really matter though. Thanks - LinczoneTalk/Watch 10:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Lets hope your new page comes out well because your current one is superb.Chubbennaitor (talk) 18:04, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This regards you and User:Officially Mr X. I know you two have been reverting each others edits in regards to F1 test drivers, and there seems to be no end in sight. He has an actually valid source (F1.com) which claims these people are test drivers, and you have a valid claim that F1.com is mistaken. So I recommend, if possible, thta you two stop editing warring with each other, and discuss this on either of your user pages, or the article talk page, and find a solution. This constant reverting is not helpful.

I am not trying to blame anyone or accuse someone of wrong doing, just simply trying to find a solution that works best, and some discussion between you two as it seems there might just be a lack of understanding. The359 (talk) 20:13, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Username change

[edit]

Please return to WP:CHU. Also, you might think about archiving this page, or at least just hacking out all the old Signpost editions - it'll take a long time to load for anyone with a slow connection. --Dweller (talk) 11:29, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Experienced and new contributors are all welcome. This event is definitely not restricted just to discussion of Brighton topics. Bring your laptop if you like and use the free Wifi or just bring yourself. Even better, bring a friend! Click the link for full details. Looking forward to seeing you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Brighton and Hove, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages A27 and A23. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
