Welcome!
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, Lima16, and welcome to Wikipedia! I have noticed that you are fairly new! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I also see that some of your recent edits show an interest in the use of images and/or photos on Wikipedia.
Did you know that ...
- ...Wikipedia has a very stringent image use policy?
- ...most images from Flickr, online news websites, and other web sources are copyrighted?
- ...Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously?
- ...freely-licensed images should be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, a central location for images where they can be used on all Wikipedia projects?
- ...we recommend that new users use our "files for upload" process – at least until you get the hang of things?
If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{Help me}}
on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

Hello, yes I am new! No I haven’t been using the upload feature very seriously, although for editing I do attempt to be as accurate as possible, be faithful to the source and never leave an edit without a citation (often though Wikipedia Mobile tends to act up, and in that case i tend to come back to add sources. - I've found a big issue with several of the images you've uploaded. If you don't understand copyright or licensing rules, please don't upload photos you did not create. There are important legal reasons why we have to get these details right. Imzadi 1979 → 06:46, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 04:01, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I'm 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 15:16, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 22
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Greater Bridgeport, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Route 8. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:23, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
Spelling
[edit]I cleaned up a lot of spelling errors you introduced on the Greater Bridgeport article. Could you please give your edits a quick pass to check for spelling? In a few cases, you piped a wikilink to change how the text displayed, and in the process, misspelled a company's name that would have been spelled correctly if the link were left alone. Imzadi 1979 → 18:57, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- Again, you've added content that is misspelled to Bridgeport, Connecticut. Please proofread your edits before saving them to double check that you are not continuing to add spelling errors to articles. Imzadi 1979 → 04:08, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
I don't understand, after all the above discussion, why you've added so much unsourced content here. Please either add WP:RELIABLE sources or remove it. The alternative is to ramp up the warnings. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:F5BD (talk) 16:42, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
Number of photos in Bridgeport, Connecticut infobox
[edit]Please stop adding additional photos to the montage in the infobox. When you add an extra photo, it pushes the last one to appear on its own row, which increases the size of that last photo, putting the whole array out of balance. Eight images should be plenty.
You've been reverted now twice. In the future, you'd be wise to follow the concepts of WP:BRD, which says that when you've been Bold to edit something on Wikipedia, and someone disagrees and Reverts that edit, the next step is to Discuss the situation. Please reply here if you have any specific reasons why we need to add another photo to that montage. Imzadi 1979 → 04:11, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
ANI notice
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:F5BD (talk) 14:37, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

- Lima16, before you return to editing the Bridgeport articles--as you've done in the last few hours--I strongly suggest you read and respond to this thread [1], which was copied from the ANI report. Merely returning for more of the same won't work very well. Thank you, 2601:19E:4180:6D50:0:0:0:F5BD (talk) 15:55, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You are currently blocked from editing the Bridgeport, Connecticut, article. Evading that block by editing while logged out is a violation of policy. In this edit, an anonymous editor edited the article to place one of a photograph in the infobox that you had uploaded. Do not do this again, or you make lose additional editing privileges. Imzadi 1979 → 03:01, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
Yes, that was me. I’m just starting to see these messages/warnings from various people, and I’m sorry. Won’t touch Wikipedia again for quite some time. Many of my actions have gone against Wikipedia policy, which is just and more than fair. Thank you for the warning(s). - Lima16 Lima16 (talk) 13:33, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Bridgeport, Connecticut. Stop adding "stuff you know" to this article! Magnolia677 (talk) 16:52, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 12:46, 20 September 2022 (UTC)The block is good, yes your right. I'm usually just for this for fun. And no, personally I don't want to spread misinformation, especially considering I'm 16. I will say tough, that i always have some sort of source. I'm only 16 and, well I'm a fact checker myself, whether a book or article. Don't trust blogs or YouTube. The reason I don't add sources is often due to the fact that... well I'm lazy. And procrastinate on doing so. My obsession for this wiki is unusual, and I'm sorry and fully understand my actions, you're right and yes go and block me. Keeps disipline on this site and it's only fair. If not id never trust Wikipedia in the first place for information. Thanks! - Lima16.
