[edit]Hello, I'm Eagles247. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Russell Okung, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - You need to provide a source stating Okung is one of the first NFL players to become public about investing in cryptocurrency. Just having tweets from him referring to it is not enough. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:04, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- As I stated above, just because he tweeted that he is involved with crytocurrency does not mean he is one of the first NFL players to become public about involvement. If you continue to add information without reliable third party, independent sources, I will have to block you from editing. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:17, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
I have removed the part that is subjective. The rest is objective. Please let me know how else I can be better at Wikipedia, I am honestly trying to do it correctly. I had no idea you could censor me, which makes me think a lot less about wikipedia if YOU have that much power for the encyclopedia of the world.
- Replace the Twitter references with this and I'm fine with the current wording. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:27, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
- Also, I've posted an introductory message below detailing Wikipedia's policies on verifiability and independent sources for your reference. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:31, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
Welcome!

For your own safety and the safety of others I sincerely hope you are not using a non-secure website to cite! The one you plugged is not secure, and talks about a different NFL player. I was going to edit his page also but I'm specifically talking about Russell because he has been the more vocal of the two. Please in the future make sure your examples of proper citations are secure links.
- Thanks for the heads up, I’m not sure why the NFL website has not upgraded to HTTPS yet. In any case, despite not having HTTPS security, NFL.com is considered a reliable source on Wikipedia and would be appropriate to link on Okung’s page. If you scroll past the mention of Barkley (not that I think you’ll visit the page again since it’s unsecured), they also mention Okung’s tweets. Your Yahoo Finance reference works as well. Thanks! Thank you for your input, I now feel I have a better understanding of how I can actually make a difference on wikipedia, with the correct citations and objectivity.
