Welcome

[edit]

Howdy and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your work and the interest in the project! I noticed your user name is similar to the organization Liberty Counsel. Unfortunately Wikipedia does not permit group or corporate accounts (for copyright reasons, see Business FAQ). If your account was intended as a corporate account, it might be best to re-register as individuals (let me know and I would be happy to block this account to make sure no one else can use it either). If you're editing as an individual, you don't need to take any action, although several things might be helpful. Wikipedia does not prohibit the use of corporate names, but it can get confusing (see our policy). You could, if you so desire, switch usernames or make it clear on your userpage your relation or interest in the organization. Finally (and I apologize for all the policy talk), if you do have some affiliation with the Liberty Counsel organization, you may want to review our conflict of interest guideline. Keeping with that guideline not only helps Wikipedia run more smoothly, but can also head off potential media-relations problems for the company in the future (the press has had a field day several times now reporting on organizations or their employees editing Wikipedia to make the organization look better). I am also attaching our standard boilerplate welcome below, which contains some other useful links about how to edit and such. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page User_talk:TeaDrinker. Thanks, and again welcome! --TeaDrinker (talk) 05:21, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Libertycounsel, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Name change

[edit]

Howdy and thanks for the note! Name changes are handled by putting in a request at Wikipedia:Changing Username. It is a fairly easy process, although given your name the bureaucrat will probably want to be sure you're aware of conflict of interest guideline. Otherwise I don't see any problems with it. Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Best wishes, --TeaDrinker (talk) 22:11, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
