Hello, Lhtee. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Nicolas Moussiopoulos, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Nicolas Moussiopoulos to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Duplicate articles and redirects

[edit]

Please don't create multiple copies of the same article. Doing so creates numerous problems, such as difficulties in ensuring that corrections, updates, and so on are coordinated over all copies. See Wikipedia:Redirect for a better way of dealing with the fact that people might search for an article under different titles. Ways to improve Nicolas Moussiopoulos

[edit]

Hi, I'm Graeme Bartlett. Lhtee, thanks for creating Nicolas Moussiopoulos!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The google scholar link is not a proper reference, and most sections have no reference at all

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

August 2018

[edit]

Please stop removing maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nicolas Moussiopoulos, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. RF23 (talk) 11:10, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 19:28, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello Dlohcierekim user, i am not trying to vandalize any page in wikipedia. My username is the initials of a laboratory, in School of Mechanical Engineering in Faculty of Engineering in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I created the Nicolas Moussiopoulos page and i am trying to improve it, despite all the unexplained deletion of my added information, that has been occurred from some users. Thank you. -- Lhtee (talk) 06:34, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have not been accused of vandalism, and the block is not because of your writing. The problem is only your username, which must not represent a group or organization (and that includes a lab). All you need to do is select a new username as explained in the block message. Once that is done, you need to discuss any content issues regarding Nicolas Moussiopoulos at Talk:Nicolas Moussiopoulos. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:03, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

@CASSIOPEIA: Hello CASSIOPEIA user, i would like to know if it's correct the citations that i added in the Nicolas Moussiopoulos page.  Thank you. -- Lhtee (talk) 06:35, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

I note you were asked about a conflict of interest above by Smartse nearly 5 years ago but did not respond. Can you please clarify whether you have an external relationship with Nicolas Moussiopoulos? Melcous (talk) 10:06, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reasoning of my involvement with Nicolas Moussiopoulos,is due to the revival of an old idea/project of a scientific community of Thessaloniki,which involves registering updated information of important Professors of Thessaloniki that are at the closing of their academic careers or about to retire . LabBuddy (talk) 10:37, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't sound very credible, given that your old username was lhtee, which is the name of the lab in which Moussiopolos works: https://aix.meng.auth.gr/lhtee/index.html. SmartSE (talk) 11:22, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This account given to me by my supervisor,probably because it was the one that was adding information on Moussiopoulos page. Regardless the information as long as there are citations and are factual is there an issue because of this particular account? LabBuddy (talk) 11:31, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Editors are expected to abide by Wikipedia guidelines, of which WP:COI is one. If you are receiving compensation for your editing, you are required to disclose this. (Being 'given' an account by your supervisor raises significant questions about this - see also WP:SHAREDACCOUNT). You should not edit articles about any one you have a connection with until you have understood these guidelines and responded. Melcous (talk) 12:00, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
