Image copyright problem with Image:Critical Software (logo).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Critical Software (logo).jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --06:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Critical Software (logo).jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Critical Software (logo).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:11, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

2024 MotoE World Championship
[edit]Actually you could've just directly moved the draft into the article namespace, without requiring the deletion of the current redirect. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 19:01, 20 December 2023 (UTC)
- It wouldn't let me move the page before, error "page already exists". Now I was able to move it. Thanks! Lgrave (talk) 19:15, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Jessica Meraz
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Jessica Meraz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - I'm just a fan of Major Crimes and I tried to write an article on one of the actresses that doesn't have it. I'm guessing I'm no ready to write an article from scratch... Lgrave (talk) 01:06, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- You can start the article from scratch in draftspace at Draft:Jessica Meraz before moving it back to mainspace. Just make sure that the article is adequately sourced before publishing. Sites like IMDb are not reliable, since they are user generated. See WP:Reliable sources and WP:Verifiability for further information. CycloneYoris talk! 01:12, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll do that. Lgrave (talk) 01:14, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

October 2024
[edit]Hello Lgrave. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Lgrave. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Lgrave|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 00:55, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not paid to write anything on Wikipedia. I'm just a fan of Major Crimes and I tried to write an article on one of the actresses that doesn't have it. In fact, I didn't had the time to contest the speedy deletion. You can check my other contributions usually around motorsports. Lgrave (talk) 01:04, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
