Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Desert One history

If the Desert One history is "essential" to the V-22 story, as you said, please provide a little more detail as to why the incident led to the development, and please provide a source that backs up the assertion. You're correct, I should have done that (sorry, still a bit new to editing). It was a good faith edit; I just think the entry needs more context for why the military made the investment in the V-22. Hi Dave. My thinking on this is based on a few issues. First, since the court sided with the patent office, I'm not sure an encyclopedia entry should state this is illustrative of "severe" problems at the patent office. Even if that is the case, the references cited don't seem to support this, or at least are negated by the court's decision, in which case I think Wikipedia's NPOV should apply. This is not to say I disagree with the notion, but simply that the entry reads better (and is more credible) if that question is raised, but without taking sides on it. If you disagree, by all means change back, but I simply think it reads better as is, without losing the debate over whether the patent should have been pulled.--Lewisjaggers 20:36, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
