I did not think I was spamming. First I work for Hoffman Media as the developer for Paule Deen's website www.cookingwithpauladeen.com I added a link to the the section that already exist talking about her magazine. Is that spam to list the website for a publication that your publication is referencing? Please let me know for future reference. I personal thought that would be useful info for people reading about Paula Deen and having a link to the magazine she has her name on. I am not listing the link for advertisement. We don't need that traffic I was just providing the link for people that may want more information.

You can verify the publication rights for the site by going to hoffmanmedia.com or to cookingwithpauladeen.com.

As for the link I placed in the defination of Tea. We also publish a magazine called TeaTime. A bimonthly publication about "Tea". http://www.teatimemagazine.com/about.htm

The magazine is about quote, "TeaTime is designed for tea lovers. The magazine praises the delights of having tea and honors the life philosophy of serenity and beauty that is enhanced by tea events." I thought our articles would be a nice compliment to the defination of tea. Again I thought this would be useful information for readers and was not intended as spam nor to generate traffic to our site. We already purchase keywords.

My two edits today are all about information which is what I thought wiki was all about. Providing Information about items / place / people edted by people.—Preceding unsigned comment added by LeverettPowell (talkcontribs) 22:59, 3 June 2008

External links policy on Advertising and conflicts of interest states You should avoid linking to a website that you own, maintain or represent. Unfortunately your conflict of interest editing involves contributing to Wikipedia in order to promote Hoffman Media sites.
Here are some additional rules:

Ok you are correct from the stand point of the conflict of interest. It was not my intent to posted fo promostion of the site. So per those guide lines of Conflict of interest. I am posting to this to mytalk page for your review or the review of independent Wikipedia editors. See (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:EL#Advertising_and_conflicts_of_interest)

I would link to see about posting a link to the following site as a correction to an external link on the Paula Deen definition page within Wikipedia. Currently the link references http://www.pauladeenmagazine.com/ While there is redirect in place that takes the user to the offical site http://www.cookingwithpauladeen.com This link is not for promotion of the site. It is just a correction of a minor items. In additon I would like to check one line of text from

Cooking with Paula Deen Deen launched a lifestyle magazine called Cooking with Paula Deen in November 2005

TO:

Cooking with Paula Deen Deen launched a lifestyle magazine called Cooking with Paula Deen in November 2005 published by Hoffman Media LLC.

Again this is not self promoting our site or the company I work for. It is just stating a fact. There is not a link back to the company site. This follow the guide lines and example are in the place in the Paula Deen wiki.

Due to the fact that I work for Hoffman Media the publishers of this title I am submitting this for an independent review of the content. I am the programmer for the web team not the web marketing group. This is intent for stating facts and correct links, only. It is not a site generator. The link meets the guidelines for an external link. The rerfence published by Hoffman Media also meets all publication guidelines and examples that I have seen in Wikipedia.

Thanks You,

I would link to see about posting a link to the following site as an external link on the Tea definition page within Wikipedia. www.teatimemagazine.com This link is not for promotion of the site. Infact you can verify that we already number one for teatime and tea searches. I feel an external link to a modern publication focused on Tea would be a great addition since some of the link to external references are dated or reference the save site three time.

TeaTime Magazine is a bimothly publication designed for tea lovers. The magazine praises the delights of having tea and honors the life philosophy of serenity and beauty that is enhanced by tea events. Tea has never been more popular than today, and TeaTime is a lovely “manual” that helps us recognize and embrace the pleasures and spirit of tea. We have many subscriber and events related to Tea, making Tea, How to serve Tea, classication of Tea, entertianment related to tea, and social events about Tea. After reading over the guideline for an external link I feel this meets those guide lines.

I am the programmer for the web team not the web marketing group. This is intent for anyone interested in modern information about Tea, only. It is not a site generator. the link meets the guidelines for an external link.
