Dear Letsgobud, welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate you coming here to contribute, but please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Prospect Sierra School. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. Please review Wikipedia's copyright policy prior to adding material. This text you added seems to be a direct copy from this URL: http://www.prospectsierra.org/Admissions/FAQs.html, and http://www.prospectsierra.org subpages. If you wish to include the material you read there, you'll need to summarize, paraphrase, condense, and then feel free to submit it to the article. Have a great day! - ArielGold 03:33, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that the above article was deleted, in accordance with Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as the notability guideline. Generally, secondary schools are not notable unless they have had coverage in multiple reliable, third party sources that can be cited to verify the information, and the notability. The school's site is not a third party source, so cannot be considered neutral. Additionally, information cannot be copied from other sources. Sources are used to verify statements, not to form sentences and paragraphs. Please review the core policies of Wikipedia, before creating another article. Please see Wikipedia's manual of style, layout guide, your first article, article development, and how to edit for assistance. Thanks, ArielGold 03:37, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate editing

[edit]

Hello again, Letsgobud, please do not add your personal commentary to articles, as you did to Albany High School (Albany, California), editing in a variety of unsourced items, and adding things like: "Considering the fact that this is a high school, and a rather good one at that, one would think that the "academics" section might be a higher priority in this article. The original author, however, has contributed vast amounts of essentialy meaningless, fear-mongering information regarding the "rampant" drug and alchohol usage of students. Do you, perhaps, work for FOX news?". Please use the article's discussion page to discuss major changes to articles, and please review the neutrality policy. Thanks, ArielGold 03:40, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Prospect Sierra School, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.prospectsierra.org/About/Mission_and_Philosophy. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Speedy deletion of Prospect Sierra School

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Prospect Sierra School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re-creating previously deleted pages

[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Prospect Sierra School, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Please do not re-create pages that were deleted. The reason the page was deleted was fully explained to you above, with the policies and guidelines linked, and yet your re-creation is again, a direct copy and paste of http://www.prospectsierra.org/About/Mission_and_Philosophy, which violates Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please stop, read the policies and guidelines, and learn about what Wikipedia is (an encyclopedia of notable items) and what it is not. Thank you. ArielGold 03:45, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
