Re Metrobus Articles

[edit]

I plan on adding that information onto the appropriate sections on CPTDB a little bit later. I kind of forgot about him until today however so I hope this doesn't continue. But I will transfer the information over to CPTDB later. Swagging (talk) 12:42, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So I added some of the information but won't add all or else it will be redundant. Swagging (talk) 13:36, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re 2020 WMATA NF XN40s

[edit]

As of right now I don't know which divisions are new XN40s are entering on. As I heard they're going to split between Bladensburg and Four Mile Run. I think they'll enter service soon but I don't know quite yet. Also there is Facebook groups for WMATA and DC area Transit that you can join for updates on new buses. Here the links down here:

Re 2020 WMATA XN40s at Four Mile Run Garage

[edit]

Not sure if the D40LFRs will be shifted back to other divisions but they will probably since Landover, Montgomery, and Bladensburg dumped their D40LFRs to Western when they got new buses. Also I heard that the C40LFRs at FMR are back at Bladensburg but idk though. Lastly I'm not sure if the 2900s will move back to Blade as Blade is going under rehab soon and they won't have a lot of space even with the new yard down the street. But only 2910-2916 are back at Blade rn. I will update on CPTDB when more moves happen. Swagging (talk) 17:01, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re WMATA 2021 Bus fleet and other update

[edit]

Happy New Year as well! I believe WMATA is gonna order 25 more XN40s in 2022 but not sure yet. That'd probably go to Shepherd Parkway since Shepherd Parkway is going to be converted into CNG in the future. I actually think 6031 is retired but not sure yet. Those hybrids are going to be gone around this year or next year since they're getting 100 more XD40s. Guessing the D40LFRs will be taking on the reserve fleet in the future as well. I still yet to edit the Arlington Transit ARBOC section however. Also I knew about the DASH tracker for WMATA but I haven't gotten around telling anyone my fault. Happy editing on 2021 as well! Swagging (talk) 23:36, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Yeah about govdeals.com I heard about it already and saw a couple of buses already being listed. I already mentioned them on the CPTDB forums but it helped a bit for fates of them. I haven't seen any FFC or ART yet and I haven't seen any Ride On or TheBus listing at any website yet. Either way thanks for the heads up. Swagging (talk) 14:25, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update: FFC does not use govdeals, they use Public Surplus like Alexandria's DASH. Only WMATA and ART uses govdeals, Ride On have a past record on govdeals. Leobran2018 (talk) 01:42, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re; WMATA 2020 XD60

[edit]

I'm not 100% sure on 5510 having the same fate as 3235. I only saw a picture of it with damage in Baltimore back during the summer but that about it. Its probably being repaired or already is repaired. Also I'm not 100% sure on how much we're getting as well. Swagging (talk) 13:46, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WMATA 2021 XD60

[edit]

I don't know the details of the XD60s as of yet. I got no VIN numbers for them or exactly how much they got. All I know is that 5500-5509 are confirmed to be 2020 models but I'm not 100% sure about the rest. No one was really expecting we got more than 10 XD60s and the only speculation we had was 5510 spotted in Baltimore. I didn't expect up to at least 5522. I also don't know if we still got anymore however as the highest unit is up to 5522 as we speak. This all the information as I know of so I'll let you know once I get more info. Swagging (talk) 23:04, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Per updated message on my talk page, yeah I check CPTDB this morning and we got VINs up to 5536 and units up to 5541 as of right now (I don't know if there's more than that however). It looks like WMATA combined the 2020 and 2021 order into one big order and received them all at once. I'm pretty sure 5510-5541 are 2021 models and 5500-5509 are 2020 models. I think once the VINs are found then its confirmed the full sequence. Also, Montgomery has the 70 and S2 which are high ridership routes. All other routes can use tics like the C, J, Q, Y, and Z lines. Even the L8 and T2 would get some tics one time. The J4 and S1 even had tics sometimes before they were suspended. When Northern reopens for the 70 and S lines, I think the tics can be used to their full potential on all the other routes in the future. Swagging (talk) 13:23, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WMATA/FFC TAGS routes

[edit]

Actually I didn't even know they were transferred too and I'm not 100% sure actually. I heard they got VA tags now and my friend told me they were in fact sold. Might gotta go down to Virginia to check it out sooner or later but idk yet. Swagging (talk) 18:15, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My bad I forgot to sign lol. Swagging (talk) 18:20, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: WMATA C40LFR retirement and West Ox division deleted message

[edit]

Per the deleted message on my talk page, only things I know about the blue C40LFRs is that some are retired or sidelined but I do not know honestly. Plus all I know about the NABI 60s is that most of them haven't been tracked by Transsee in ages. I would need to take a trip down to Bladensburg division soon to find out for myself but that's all I really know as of right now. Plus I don't think ART would take those C40LFRs tbh. I also heard WMATA ended its lease with West Ox for now and Cinder Bed will be taken back by WMATA beginning on 1/1/2022. As I'm writing this actually, my friend told me 10 NABI 60s remain in service and I'm unsure about the rest either probably done or just don't have working trackers. Especially since the pandemic hit, a lot of buses don't have working trackers rn. But thats all I know of about West Ox, NABI 60s, and C40LFRs for right now. I'll update you when I get more info. Swagging (talk) 19:52, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I can also confirm only NABI 60s in service are 5401, 5405, 5406, 5409, 5413, 5414, 5416, 5417, 5418, and 5419. Swagging (talk) 19:57, 30 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the message since i wrote it too soon, but thanks for the update. Leobran2018 (talk) 13:35, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Retirement of the NABI 60-BRT CNGs and other stuff

[edit]

Yeah I do got pics for VA routes 1A, 2A, 10A, 10B, 16A, 16C, 16G, 16H, and 23A but I haven't got a chance to upload them yet. I will do once I get around to uploading them since I'm also trying to get more pics as well. Swagging (talk) 20:34, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
