- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Critical acclaim
[edit]Please don't accuse editors of having ulterior motives for their edits, as you did at Talk:Zootopia. The reason that people have been reverting your edits is because saying the film has received "critical acclaim" is unsourced. You can't read the numbers from a website and determine through your own analysis whether it counts as critical acclaim or not – this is original research, and it is forbidden on Wikipedia. What we need is a source that explicitly says the film received critical acclaim. However, as I said on the talk page, I prefer to simply report what the review aggregators say. In my opinion, simplistic statements about "critical acclaim" don't really add much to the article. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:47, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

On the site Rotten Tomotes Zootopia is listed as the #1 film of 2016! This is critical acclaim! And your attempt to undermine what I said is all based on fallacy!

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Zootopia. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 18:23, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
- I actually have spoken about this in the talk page of Zootopia and given PLENTLY of sources to prove my claim. This was actually a very recent edit done by another user changing "critically acclaimed" to "postive reviews". This isn't based in fact! And for months pior it has stated "critically acclaimed"! Now how ever there seems to be an effort to make the film seem lesser than what it is. This isn't just! As other films maked the same are not to my knowlage being abused like this.
- Thank you for your attention. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lennonthefox (talk • contribs) 18:37, 7 September 2016 (UTC) (copied from User talk:C.Fred)
- You've also continued to revert in the article, and since you're a newer editor, I wanted to make sure you're aware of 3RR, which is a brightline rule. Your edits do not qualify for a 3RR exemption. —C.Fred (talk) 18:47, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Singing your posts
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
