reminder to mentor
Hola Mentors!
Im sending you this reminder because you volunteered to mentor my students in English Advanced B as they become contributing members of the Wikipedia community. We start working with Wikipedia in earnest next week. I ask you to take a look at your entry in the Mentor Table at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors
Please update the information, esp. with what your technical and informational expertise is or, if you have decided that you no longer want to participate, please remove your information from the table. Please watch the pages associated with the project. Students will contact you via your user page and as soon as my students have user pages, I will put them on the navigation bar associated with the project.
I don’t need to remind you that your job is NOT to write their assignments for them, of course. I certainly will tell my students that… and the fact that you are volunteers that don’t have to help them… so they need to be nice. If any students misbehave (tho I don’t expect it) don’t hesistate to contact me and I will take care of it. The goal of this project is to integrate successfully into the Wikipedia community. Anyway… what I really need your help with is helping students get oriented to Wikipedia, make appropriate changes and write about appropriate topics (see Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus for assignments). I also need your technical expertise… I am only an English teacher after all! I appreciate what technology does for us but I am no technical expert!

Virtual classroom
I've got several students, and I can hardly keep up. We do have several coaches in the wiki-school (Virtual classroom), and all you need to do is find one who will take you on. Contact user talk:Dweller, and tell him I recommended him to be your coach. Of course I'll be your co-coach (we all share students at the VC), but you need a primary coach and I'm already overloaded. I think before you come into the VC you might need a little 'private tuition', lol. Are you up for this? If so, I'll set you the following tasks:
- Have you had an editor review? If not, nominate yourself and link to it here.
- I had one. Wikipedia:Editor_review/Lemonflash
- Contribute to two other editors' editor reviews. Choose ones that have not yet had any comments. Link to them here.
- Find 5 AfD debates and be the first to express an opinion on each. Link to them here. Watch how they develop - there'll be a follow-up task here.
- Read the criteria for Featured Articles. Find a candidate article at WP:FAC that has not yet had any feedback and make a detailed response, based on the criteria you've just read. Link to your comments here.

My recent RfA
I am sorry you felt it necessary to oppose my recent RfA, which did not succeed. I will attempt to get more experience in the main namespace and the Wikipedia namespace and will try again for RfA in two month's time. You also expressed concerns about my "articlewriting" experience, while it is true that I haven't written much, I don't see why article writing is a prerequisite to being an administrator. The administrator tools are more for cleaning up (thus the term "mop") rather than writing other articles.
