IMOS

[edit]

Hello there. If you are going to edit in the area of Ireland related topics, please read WP:IMOS. This covers things like when to use Republic of Ireland and when to just use Ireland. It's understanding and following is required on Ireland related articles. Thanks. Canterbury Tail talk 20:09, 17 August 2022 (UTC) What I meant on Ireland is the same as what you see here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Great_Britain LeicesterToNottingham123 (talk) 20:16, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Northern Ireland, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Your revert on London and North Eastern Railway seems not take account of the Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss guideline—you have skipped the "discuss" part. Personally, I can't see much wrong with it but you should try to get agreement after it's been disputed.--AntientNestor (talk) 09:27, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Note that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom - please don't edit pages to suggest that it isn't.Nigel Ish (talk) 21:19, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Continued disruptive editing

[edit]

You are continuing your pattern of disruptive editing in what can only now be described as deliberate. Despite being informed many times, it's becoming clear that you either are ignoring or cannot accept that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, and neither its own independent country nor part of the country of (Republic of) Ireland. You are continually making edits against this fact and right now it's beyond disruptive. I'll remind you again that competence is required to edit here. If you continue to make any edits that move Northern Ireland out of the United Kingdom, remove references to Northern Ireland to make it seem like in Ireland, or in any way imply that Northern Ireland is part of the country of Ireland, you will be blocked. In addition you'll be topic banned from anything to do with Northern Ireland or Ireland, broadly construed as it's clear that you cannot edit in anything connected to those areas.
