[edit]Sorry for not getting back to you earlier on this, but I only noticed your comment when I was archiving my Talk page (you might want to add future comments with their own header).
As to why I deleted the article, there are two reasons:
- The first deletion took place after this AfD. As you can see, the discussion was open from the 17th to the 28th of February - AfDs normally run for about 5 days, and this one therefore had more than double the normal length. Over the course of that time, three people advocated the article being deleted (4, if you include the nominator) and nobody argued that it should be kept. Thus, the consensus was that it should be deleted.
- The second deletion was because the article was re-posted after having been deleted through the AfD process. Per this policy, the appropriate place to have "appealed" the deletion was at WP:DRV, rather than by simply re-creating the article.
If you believe that the article should not have been deleted, you're welcome to discuss that with me or file a DRV request. Additionally, you may wish to read WP:CIVIL and remember that calling people idiots is not a good practice. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 03:31, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Wright brothers. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. My response: Hi, and sorry about this. What happened was that my friend and I were taking notes for a project and I went to the bathroom with my wikipedia account still logged in (I had found the Octave Chalute mistake earlier and wanted to help out by editing it). I guess he must have taken and edited the article in some way. I'm not exactly sure what this "joke edit" was about either.
- Okay, thanks for the response. Technically, you are responsible for all activity on your account. However, I suspected that something like that may have happened, since your edit to the same article directly prior was a legitimate one. It's not a big deal, since it was an honest oversight. I welcome you to continue making constructive edits in the future. Also, I'd recommend keeping close tabs on your friend ;)
- Cheers, and happy Wiki'ing! - Revolving Bugbear 22:54, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of List of Jews with money
[edit]Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 930913(Congratulate/Complaints) 12:23, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
