Deleting content

[edit]

Deleting content without comment, as you did at the article Duane Chapman, may be considered vandalism. This may result in you being barred from further editing at Wikipedia. Duke53 | Talk 22:56, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Restraining Order, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

See Injunction

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cheers, JetLover (Talk) (Sandbox) 04:16, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

September 2007

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did to Lighthouse, makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —EncMstr 06:13, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

October 07

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Domestic sheep, you will be blocked from editing. VanTucky Talk 20:21, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

November 2007

[edit]

Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Dog the Bounty Hunter. Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed even if some believe it to be contentious. Thank you. Krushia 01:55, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

February 2008

[edit]

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to United States, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. --Evb-wiki (talk) 23:31, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you provide a source for this, please? This seems to indicate that the bill you're referring to was tabled before it could be voted on. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:00, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please familiarize yourself with the difference between a bill and a law. Your repeated attempts to place erroneous information in the United States article have been and will continue to be swiftly reverted.—DCGeist (talk) 17:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please discuss some of these changes in talk before implementing them. I just reverted your last one which was unhelpful. --John (talk) 17:43, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism tag

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to United States, you will be blocked from editing. —DCGeist (talk) 17:54, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Albert Einstein Academy Charter School

[edit]

Albert Einstein Academy Charter School has been significantly trimmed to remove content which is not encyclopedic. In general, current events, current faculty and staff, and items of interest only to students, parents, and others in the local community is not encyclopedic. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools for more information on how to write a good school article, and see Plano Senior High School for a very well-written article about a high school. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 20:57, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Table mate

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Table mate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Stijndon (talk) 15:05, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage

[edit]

If you continue to replace the definition on Marriage with your own definition, it will be considered vandalism. You are on the fast track to being banned by wikipedia. Please stop. Fresheneesz (talk) 08:18, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dictionary.com has two current definitions of marriage involving "a man and a woman". It has two that don't[1]:
4. "a relationship in which two people have pledged themselves to each other in the manner of a husband and wife, without legal sanction: trial marriage; homosexual marriage."
6. "a formal agreement between two companies or enterprises to combine operations, resources, etc., for mutual benefit; merger."
Cherry-picking your desired definition is not legitimate. Furthermore, wikipedia is not a dictionary and marriage clearly has many other meanings throughout history. Please take the time to read the article on marriage. Thanks. Fresheneesz (talk) 21:42, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Faith Chapel(Spring Valley)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Faith Chapel(Spring Valley), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Little news coverage, non-notable for a megachurch

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Nominated for deletion: Albert Einstein Charter Academy

[edit]

Hello, Legokid! I have nominated the article Albert Einstein Academy Charter School for deletion as non-notable (WP:N). I am notifying you because you originally wrote the article. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Albert Einstein Academy Charter School. Thank you. --MelanieN (talk) 21:49, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Diane Lenning requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Grande Condominiums has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable development without external sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. glman (talk) 15:03, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
