Empowered Student Partnerships (E.S.P) is a program that was created by Toronto Police services in 2002. It's goal is promote students to generate a safe and healthy environment in their schools. [1] [2] E.S.P is a partnership led by students which is joined with the Toronto Police Service, the Toronto district school boards, the Canadian Safe Schools Network, ProAction, and the city of Toronto.It encourages secondary school students to take a stand against youth violence and bullying.The focal point of the partnership is to "empower students to plan, organize and execute a yearlong safe schools initiative in their local schools and communities". [3] Schools become involved in E.S.P byconstructing a group consisting of students and staff advisors
