A tag has been placed on User:Lee Campbell, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. User page

[edit]

Sorry, but your user page does not conform to Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your Wikimedia-related activities. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not a personal website, blog, or social media site, nor should it be used to promote yourself, or host a fake article, CV/resumé or lengthy autobiography. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:10, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Lee Campbell (talk) 16:12, 19 September 2017 (UTC) I have already been included by NPL and there is a photo of my artwork so I would like to expand on this information please?[reply]

Your user page is not an encyclopedia article. The user page guidelines explain what type of content is allowed - and is not allowed.
It is highly inadvisable for you to write about yourself, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. It is reasonable for other editors to assume that you will find it difficult to write about yourself from the required neutral point of view. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, a disinterested third party will probably create an article about you sooner or later.
Persons must be considered notable, as Wikipedia defines notability, to be considered worthy of inclusion. There are particular criteria for creative professionals such as artists. Any content for an article must be properly paraphrased from sources that are considered both reliable and independent of the subject.
If you still believe that you are a notable person and merit inclusion, please use the Articles for Creation process. This will allow you to create a draft article at less risk for deletion, which will then be reviewed by an uninvolved editor. It will then be posted or sent back to you for further revisions.
Regardless, please review Wikipedia's policies on autobiographies and conflict of interest. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:27, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
