Speedy deletion nomination of Gilbey's Wines
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Gilbey's Wines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Cntras (talk) 12:51, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Magners. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. RashersTierney (talk) 23:45, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Magners. Wikipedia is not the "Yellow Pages". If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets, such as Wikia's Yellowikis. Thank you. RashersTierney (talk) 23:46, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Fair enough hadn't been intentional, but I do believe the line about Bulmers being the only Cider produced in Ireland should be changed as it is not factual.Ledger-91 (talk) 12:08, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I have no interest in perpetuating inaccurate information on the project, and the claim on the Magners article to being Ireland's only cider producer is clearly outdated. I've spent a few mins. seeking an independent source to state that it is 'the largest'. Will revisit when I've a bit more time. As a friendly heads up, please note our policies on conflict of interest and perhaps take a chance to read our 'Welcome'. Best. RashersTierney (talk) 14:27, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Will do to be sure. I do see how it may have come across Ledger-91 (talk) 14:42, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
