Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. --Tenebrae (talk) 13:37, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:57, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
This page documents an English Wikipedia behavioral guideline. It is a generally accepted standard that editors should attempt to follow, though it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply. Any substantive edit to this page should reflect consensus. When in doubt, discuss first on the talk page.

[edit]External links to chessgames.com are not spam. Please do not remove them from chess player biographies. If you think that these links do not meet the guidelines in WP:EL, I ask that you discuss it at WT:CHESS#Chessgames player profiles so that others can understand your concerns. How are they not spam? You are linking to a website that makes its money from ad-traffic revenue. Anyone can add content to these sites. Anyone. It is not a reliable source. --Lecale42 (talk) 12:47, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- User:Lecale42, your repeated reverts at Steve Giddins constitutes edit warring, please familiarize yourself w/ WP:BRD. The discussion is already at the ProjChess page as above. Ihardlythinkso (talk) 23:52, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 00:32, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
Nobody has provided anything to say that this isn't against the External Links policy. I have provided evidence that it is. What a disruptive toad I am.--Lecale42 (talk) 17:37, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
