My talk page
[edit]Thanks you for reverting my talk page. :) BJTalk 05:47, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
No worries. :) --Leaderofearth 05:49, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
You are using obsolete user warning templates.
[edit]FYI: Templates like {{test}} are deprecated. They might be deleted at any time. The replacements are listed at WP:UWT. Will (Talk - contribs) 23:37, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the Headsup, I have updated my templates page. --Leaderofearth 06:19, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Did you update your forms too? Will (Talk - contribs) 07:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi there 202.14.216.129 04:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
My edit to Fly system
[edit]I certainly regret potentially discouraging a user by the way I responded. I did flag the change as "unhelpful" and not vandalism per se, so my change wouldn't tarnish this user's record for other VP users. All the same, I wish I'd instead flagged the section with a cleanup tag instead of reverting the change.
I have apologized on the user's page as well, and also have attempted to incorporate his change (with better wording) onto the article.
I appreciate you following up with the contributor, and also letting me know. I do take constructive criticism such as yours into account, and will try to be more careful in the future with not being "jerky".

Having your own page deleted
[edit]If you create a page, and before anyone else edits it you decide to have it deleted, like what seems to have happened with Catagory: Speedway in New Zealand, please put a {{db-self}} at the top of the page, in stead of blanking it. This will attract an administrator to it to have it deleted. I've marked this one for you - since you blanked it, that's enough. Eli Falk 12:00, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, I will use that next time. Leaderofearth 03:35, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Papatoetoe High School
[edit]Hiya. The article on Papatoetoe HIgh School. Some good info can be found at- url = http://www.ero.govt.nz/ero/reppub.nsf/0/396DD09D22161058CC2571D200833DB4/$File/95.htm?Open
I know all about Papatoetoe High School because I went there myself. I reverted some of your edits because they appeared to be vandalism, mainly because your first edit to the article although true to some degree did not contribute anything to the Wikipedia. It might be more appropriate at Uncyclopedia. Feel free to constructively edit the article, but don't add nonsense or it will be reverted. Leaderofearth 10:54, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Graves' disease
[edit]Hello, I did not look at the history of Graves' disease before I changed the spelling of goitre to goiter, I was just trying to keep the spelling consistent throughout the article. I did not mean to interfere with a fix you made, I'm sort of brand new at this, and I thought that having consistent spelling would be help. If the other spelling is better, go for it, and sorry for altering your change before looking at the history. --Furanose09 05:56, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
No worries. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. I have changed the link back, but have kept the old spelling. Leaderofearth 05:59, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. The change looks good. Thanks for the welcome as well. Wikipedia is an interesting idea, and I've found it to be quite useful. --Furanose09 08:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
WikiProject Motorsport/Michael Pickens
[edit]I noticed that you have contributed to several motorsports articles. Do you have any interesting facts from New Zealand racers that could be added to the WikiProject Portal? I started Steve Millen's article, and I have used the hook that I used for its time on the Did You Know section on the main page. The hooks need to be sourced from reliable sources. Did you notice that I uploaded a poor image of Michael Pickens's late model from Madison International Speedway? I didn't get any pictures of him before it got dark, and camera's don't take racing pics after dark. Is his article correct that there are no paved tracks in New Zealand? Royalbroil 18:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
It is true there are no paved ovals down here in NZ. I have been seen Michael Pickens racing for years going from quarter midgets then into midgets and this last season a couple of runs in a Sprintcar at Western Springs Speedway. Unfortunatly I do not know of any websites with interesting facts about the guy but I could try and dig up some articles from some speedway websites here. Leaderofearth 23:39, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't mean to imply that he is the only driver that you could suggest a fact about. You could suggest facts about any driver(s). You don't need to be a WikiProject member to suggest a fact.
- I should have made a new paragraph to mark the change in thought. I am amazed that I have something this specific in common with someone who lives on the other side of the world, and that we are discussing it now. Feel free to expand his article of course. Your talk page is on my watchlist, so you shouldn't have to prompt me. Thanks! Royalbroil 04:43, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
It is a small world. I do not have a lot of time at the moment to trawl the internet for information, but I will get onto it next week. Leaderofearth 22:34, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Auckland Meetup
[edit]Hi. There is no minimum level x of contributions or recent activity to come to the meetup - though you obviously should have an interest in talking about Wikipedia matters. But its a meet and greet as much as anything else. So you're certainly welcome. Ingolfson 10:22, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Maybe next time. I would like to come but looking at my calender I have a couple of other things that day. But now I know about the Auckland meetups I have watch listed the page and will keep an eye out for the next one. Leaderofearth 10:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Do what ever you like, but vandalism will be reverted by someone. Have a nice day Leaderofearth 04:19, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! I noticed your plea to not delete the article (since your userpage is still on my watchlist). The best way to ensure that it is not deleted is to reference the article with multiple reliable sources, especially from print media like newspapers, magazines, and books. The New York Times is definitely a reliable source, and their articles can now be searched free online through their website. Royalbroil 06:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunatly these things are not easy to reference in the main steam, and I put the notice on the talk page because at the moment I have referred to Martin fittings a lot, only because I have 8 of them sitting in a theatre at the moment. And because of that I wanted to pre-empt a speedy deletion by someone who has no idea about the subject.
References will come when I (or another wikipedia editor) find them, until then I know the article is somewhat accurate by my experience with these things. Leaderofearth 06:26, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
