Long URL

That link wasn't helpful at all. As I said before, nobody has complained about long IMF.org URLs before, except you. ☆ CieloEstrellado 09:03, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Caribbean360

A tag has been placed on Caribbean360 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Agaricus blazei

Thanks for putting up with me on the Agaricus blazei page. I will no longer add any primary sources (I dont think there are any left anyway). In the meanwhile any suggestion you give me for the page I will most likely follow. Feel free to tell me how the page should look and be changed. Thanks Jatlas (talk) 17:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

No problem. You're obviously trying to improve the article, but please stick to WP:MEDRS when referencing medical statements.LeadSongDog come howl 17:44, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Can you see me now?

Noticing your evident frustration here, can I offer a suggestion (if it hasn't occured to you already...;))? Add a temp {{reflist}} in your preview field. (Just be sure to delete before saving... I've been known to forget. 8() TREKphiler hit me ♠ 10:02, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion. I've done that, but found over time that I forget more often than it's worth. Thing is, it really should be automagic for all editors. We really don't want anything to discourage people who try to provide refs while they provide content.:-) LeadSongDog come howl 16:25, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
I won't argue with that. :D I've had so much trouble with that format, I don't even try to use it; I just can't get it right... 8( TREKphiler hit me ♠ 07:49, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Swine Flu Barnstar
For your extraordinary efforts in keeping 2009 swine flu outbreak and 2009 swine flu outbreak in Canada up to date and for your contributions to the talk pages, I hereby award you this special barnstar. Congratulations and keep up the good work! ThaddeusB (talk) 22:20, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Could you please start applicable sections on the article talk page discussing why you feel the article needs to be checked for its neutrality and may be inaccurate or unbalanced in towards certain viewpoints per this diff.[1]? Some sort of NPOV rationale should be behind the addition of these two tags so that discussion can take place on the talk page with the intention of fixing the issue, or otherwise those tags will just sit at the top of the article. I've gone through this article and fail to see any blatant neutrality violations or inaccurate information, however since you've placed the tags you may have seen something I missed. Thanks. --Yankees76 (talk) 16:14, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

I didn't place them, I reverted the unexplained deletion of them. However, since you ask, I'll take a closer look.LeadSongDog come howl 16:39, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Saw it. Looks good. Looks like it's mainly a reference issue. The content is sound. I don't believe it's written like and advertisement, merely that it's sourced from possible advertisements. --Yankees76 (talk) 17:30, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Historical use of oils and fats

You wrote at Talk:Trans_fat#.22Worldwide_perspective.22_on_dietary_fats.2Foils -
"Oilseeds and nut oils were not much used until the industrial age made them easier and cheaper to mill."
You're pretty confident that that's true?
(I ask simply as an objective question - I understand what you're saying here, but as I say, I'm no expert on this subject.)

I'm no expert either, though I do eat. This and this are instructive. LeadSongDog come howl 13:42, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Oil shale extraction

Hi, LeadSongDog. I am planning to renominate the Oil shale extraction article for FAC. Of course, this article is not ready for renomination yet, but I am planning to concentrate on this in coming months. You have done an excellent work on improving oil-shale related articles and I hope you will have a time to assist also with this article. Thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 10:41, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
