A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Karwan Tahir, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Karwan Tahir", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because your name is similar to Karwan Jamal Tahir, a diplomat[1]. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. If you are this person and you do not wish to change your username, consider sending an email to info-en@wikimedia.org including your real name and your Wikipedia username to receive instructions from our volunteer response team about account verification. Please do not send documentation without being requested to do so. If an administrator determines that the likelihood of confusion is high enough, this account will be temporarily prevented from editing until either the username is changed or the user's identity is verified using the email process I just mentioned. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:37, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @davidwr, I have changed my user name and revised the article. Could you please tell me how to publish the draft article? Lea2021 (talk) 16:19, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I added {{draft article}} to the top of Draft:Karwan Jamal Tahir (diff). As it says in the box, "Please ensure core content policies are met before publishing it as a live Wikipedia article." Once you are sure the policies are met, you can click the "Finished drafting? Submit for review!" button. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:40, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please read WP:Paid-contributions disclosure and WP:Conflict of interest and edit accordingly. If you are this person or you know this person, or you are editing on this person's behalf, you will not be allowed to add content to the page once it is accepted. Instead, you will need to use Template:Requested edit or the WP:Requested Edit Wizard to propose the change on the article's talk page. Until the draft is accepted, you you can continue to edit it like normal. Please declare whether you do or do no have a conflict of interest, and whether you are or are not a "paid" editor as Wikipedia defines these terms. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:44, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful with autobiographies

[edit]
This applies to you if you are the person described in Draft:Karwan Jamal Tahir or if you know him personally or professionally. It might also apply if you have some other relationship with him. If you are not this person, please see the section above and change your username.

Information icon Hello, Karwan Tahir. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Karwan Jamal Tahir, or you are this person, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors in the main encyclopedia. You did the right thing by creating it as a draft article.
  • For articles in the main encyclopedia: propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template).
  • Disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles, including draft articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI).
  • Avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam). A single link to an official web site in a draft article is okay. For articles in the main encyclopedia that lack an official web site or which have an incorrect one, use {{requested edit}}, do not add or change it yourself. Do not remove an incorrect link yourself unless allowed to under the biographies of living persons policy mentioned below.
  • Do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

Even where you have a conflict of interest, you are welcome to remove material which violates Wikipedia's copyright policy or its policy relating to biographies of living persons.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 20:38, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
