Notability of Cimmerian Sensualism

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Cimmerian Sensualism requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page you created, you may want to consult WP:Your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. The Anome (talk) 10:47, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Julian Wings-CR.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you have recreated this page after its deletion. Please do not recreate speedy-deleted articles without first following the guidelines given above, which tell you in detail the criteria articles need to meet to be included in Wikipedia. -- The Anome (talk) 11:11, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I must say it is very confusing to create pages. It is certainly not user friendly! The article is not about a person or group of person or club or anything. If you can READ it and UNDERSTAND it, it is about an ART MOVEMENT! So, What's next?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Le Chat Viole (talkcontribs)

What you need to do to get your article kept

[edit]
Thanks for responding.
Please demonstrate (by adding a comment to this talk page) that this art movement meets the specific criteria specified in WP:NOTABILITY, and we'd be pleased to have an article on it. (The criteria can be briefly summarized as "having received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.") Unfortunately, if you can't do so, we can't accept the article. -- The Anome (talk) 11:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Several years ago, I have read the article about Cimmerian Sensualism in the R.C. News (now Entertainment Weekly Magazine), and the group of us had an opportunity to attend the art opening of Cimmerian Sensualism group. As we were finding more about this art movement, we also found there were many followers and supporters of this movement and adapting in the area other than just art (such as in their life style philosophy.) The art critics has been noticing this art movement, and we are also aware of this movement has strongly influenced the underground subculture scene because of its philosophical concept.

Great. That's a start. Can you provide cites for that? -- The Anome (talk) 22:22, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
