Your Username
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your edits. However, I noticed that your username is a violation of the username policy as it implies a position of authority. Please consider requesting to change your username. Thank you, King Jakob C2 13:41, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
Hi!
[edit]Hey, LeO, welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to drop in and let you know that the username you've chosen actually isn't up-to-code, so to speak. You see, we generally don't allow names that contain words like "admin", since it can create an unintended impression of authority, which in turn leads to weird things. You can see what's expected in a username at this page. It's no big deal, though! If you have another name you were thinking of, one that doesn't contain things like "admin", then it might be a good idea for you to request a username change. You can do so at this page; just read the directions at the top. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions; I'll keep an eye on this page, so you can just ask here, or you can ask me a question on my talk page if you prefer. Thanks! Signature
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. - David Biddulph (talk) 17:25, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Legal ombudsman. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jackson Peebles (talk) 17:16, 17 March 2013 (UTC)
Username block
[edit]Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. You are not permitted to use a name which suggests that you have admin responsibility here. You will need to apply for an unblock for username change, using {{unblock-un}}.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:56, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
