Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page The Cal Poly "P" has been reverted.
Your edit here to The Cal Poly "P" was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-P/305922855670) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. UC Santa Barbara Gauchos men's soccer

[edit]

Ldurkin, please adhere to WP:POV, WP:WEIGHT, and WP:LABEL, which are Wikipedia policies and part of the WP:MOS, when editing UC Santa Barbara Gauchos men's soccer. Your recent revisions to the article are in violation of these principals and have been reverted. Thanks, GauchoDude (talk) 14:02, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Ldurkin:, it's marginally better, however it's still way out of WP:BALANCE with the rest of the article. Your statement that "...deleting the paragraph all together shows bias by trying to hide history..." is factually incorrect and personally offensive. A little research on your part would show that I neatly summarized everything in a more concise paragraph, uniform with the rest of the article and in direct contradiction to your accusatory statement.
Without devolving into a "he said, she said" back and forth, it could very easily be theorized that you're the one attempting bias in expanding a quite small incident in much more detail than the rest of the entire history of the page, especially in light that the overwhelming majority of your user contributions are either to the Cal Poly soccer page or the UCSB soccer page. After all, no one is expanding in detail why every record attendance Cal Poly touts is against UCSB, five of which aren't even home matches, or why your crowds are so raucous, or that more cops are needed when Santa Barbara comes to town.
GauchoDude (talk) 20:57, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@GauchoDude, this edit of your's would fit the definition of bias. Paul Holocher resignation - Despite the valiant efforts by head coach Paul Holocher to push Cal Poly to a respectable level of play, it was announced on August 11th, 2014 that Holocher had stepped down from his role to join a youth soccer club.[9] Holocher, who spent 8 seasons guiding the team, abandoned them just 12 days before their first scheduled match of the 2014 season against the California Golden Bears.[10] He left with a final record of 72-60-25 and only 1 NCAA Tournament appearance. Phil Ruskin, a second year assistant coach, was promoted to be the interim head coach upon Holocher's departure having never held a head coaching position before.[11] Predictably, Cal Poly lost their first match to the unranked Davidson Wildcats after giving up 4 straight second half goals.[12]

can we just agree to a truce to not slander each other's school's articles?

Survey Invite

[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH?Q_DL=eYcEJhpD4guKGZT_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH_MLRP_eDV3UzDy0WGkFxP&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 20:05, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re gubernatorial edit

[edit]

I have no problem with the change but I would point out that changes are not determined by majority, but by consensus and consistency with policies and guidelines. 331dot (talk) 15:10, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
