Right. I really hated to delete that image, because it was a nice photo and useful to the article. BUT... the folks who run the Wikipedia are pretty insistent that, with certain specific exceptions, all the images that we use have to be completely released into the public domain (or under the GDFL which amounts to the same thing). This is so that anyone can take any part of the Wikipedia and freely use it for whatever purpose they wish - including for profit, to disparage the subject, in pornography, whatever. Therefore images released with permission just for Wikipedia may not be used.
There is an exception, fair use, but that would generally only be used if it would be impossible to get a completely free image of Barzin, which it isn't. Sorry about all this. Herostratus03:22, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
