Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopaedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Your changes does not make sense and was reverted. Do not continue to re-revert without consensus at the talk page. 2.98.157.204 is where you can find me. 2.98.157.204 (talk) 20:09, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The phrase "in talks" is commonly used in written English to indicate that two or more people are discussing something with the aim of coming to an agreement. that is what in talks means 2.98.157.204 (talk) 22:06, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that's what that phrase means, but the phrase "reportedly in talks" has a slightly different meaning. It means that there is speculation of said talks going on. Lavalizard101 (talk) 22:11, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

For breaking 3rr with 4 reverts in the course of two hours. Lavalizard101 (talk) 00:21, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
