Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Laurenabb, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Notes

[edit]

Hi! I wanted to give you some notes on your edits. With writing, make sure that all claims are attributed to a specific person and that there are no personal or unattributed opinion statements in the article. For example, the statement "Social Movements are more powerful vehicles of culture change, rather than political." is something that needs to be attributed to a specific person since this can be seen as an opinion depending on the person. Make sure that there is no original research, as the sourcing must explicitly state the claim that is being stated in the article. Original research would be seen as anything that we come up with on our own (research, data, claims) that isn't explicitly stated in the source material.
