A suggestion for your Main Page candidate
[edit]Claudius sounds to me like a good candidate for the main page, but it can't be featured with the summary you gave -- it's about three times too long. You should try to cut it down so it fits into a box the size of the others on the page. rspeer 21:59, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Nice picture!
[edit]Just wanted to say that the picture of the denarius on the Claudius page is a really beautiful picture of a really beautiful coin! User:dkostic 15:02, 24 Jan 2006.
- Thank you so much, dkostic! LaurenCole 21:04, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
Good point! It's ok for a fairly compact and direct-line dynasty like Template:House of Tudor or Template:Severan dynasty, but not so much with the Julio-Claudians. I'll shrink/removeit /put it lower down celerissime.
Infoboxes for the emperors are still a work in progress - any help would be gratefully received, as there are 'so many emperors, so little time!' Neddyseagoon 18:09, 11 March 2006 (UTC)neddyseagoon

Infobox emperor
[edit]Even if C-c-c-Claudius didn't take imperator as name, he was still emperor, so why revert? The infobox I put in is more suitable to Roman emperors, for the reasons listed on its talk page. User|Neddyseagoon 12:05, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
I noticed you appear to be involved in biology articles or WikiProjects relating to biology and human processes. This article, on a method for evaluating biological utilizations rates of proteins in humans and animals, was started in August and is in need of the attention of an expert. We are having trouble locating one and the article desperately needs it. This method is used constantly in bodybuilding magazines and products and is the subject of much misinformation and half-truths. On the other hand it does appear to have some value. Please help if possible. In case you're wondering why I picked you I just looked through some Science WikiProjects and biology articles and your name appeared a lot in one or both categories. Incidentally if you decide not to do this for whatever reason there's no need to reply. I'll just take it you're busy or uninterested and leave it at that. Thanks. Cool stuff!
[edit]Hi, I was using the Claudius article as reference for my ancient history coursework and stumbled upon your page. First of all, I'd like to say "thanks" for writing the article, it was a great help to me. Also, it appears we have similar interests: Romans, Victorians, British Empire, space travel, evolution and so on. So I'd like to give you this:

Image permission problem with Image:Claudiuscellamodel.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Claudiuscellamodel.jpg, which you've sourced to http://www.vroma.org/images/image_search.html. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jappalang (talk) 01:37, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

VRoma images
[edit]VRoma specifically stated on the website that they are not for non-commercial use. Did you explain to them that images listed as "free" on Wikipedia might be published by people for commercial purposes? If VRoma knew of that and agreed to release the images as "free", an OTRS must be processed to prove that they have agreed as such. FAR notice Claudius
[edit]I have nominated Claudius for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. -- Cirt (talk) 15:14, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, This image was seemingly uploaded prior to current image polices, Thank you.
However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm, that it was your own work, by marking it as {{own}}, amending the {{information}} added by a third party, and by changing the license to an appropriate "self" variant. This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:39, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!
The file File:Larvaesmall.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
