Galla or Gallae?
[edit]I was wondering whether in your opinion Image:Gallae.svg or Image:Galla.svg was a better name for the symbol of the modern gallae. Silversmith Hewwo 04:00, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
On reflection Image:Galla.svg would probably be more accurate. Symbols for modern gallae have not yet been properly formalised. An equivalent symbol for a galli would be: a triangle (modified body) with an arrow sign (masculine spirit).

AfD Nomination: Transgender Day of Remembrance Webcomics Project
[edit]An editor has nominated the article Transgender Day of Remembrance Webcomics Project for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Transgender Day of Remembrance Webcomics Project. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Transgender Day of Remembrance Webcomics Project during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. - I wish to apologise for describing the above article as a "possible hoax" in commenting on its AfD. Another editor has provided sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the article is not a hoax, and I have struck out my comment accordingly. Walton monarchist89 18:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Well I must admit, I was shocked to see the entry described as such. However, the real problem seems to be my inexperience with 'notability criteria' for web pages, which seem much simplified and arbitrary when compared with articles on other issues and items. I have put a query in the talk page for notability about how that is affected by later review and references. LauraS 03:54, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination: Modern Gallae
[edit]I've listed Modern Gallae for deletion, on the basis that it does not provide any references from reliable sources to show the notability of this movement. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide suitable references, since this would enable us to keep the article. Unfortunately, references to websites do not generally count for this purpose, unless they can be shown to qualify under the reliable sources criteria. Can you find any news stories or magazine articles to back this article up? -- Karada 22:20, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
