Montenegro?

[edit]

Well, all those previous problems have been solved now. :)

Dear friend; on my talk page you said Tell me something, I can understand why Kosovo and is autonomous, can suspect why Montenegro is autonomous (they used to be a seperate country),.... Could you clarify the bold part? I didn't really understand it in the first place. --HolyRomanEmperor 16:35, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serbia and Montenegro are two seperate states only sharing a (very loosse) union.

Also, tell me please, are high Project edit counts a must-have for Administratorship? One User pointed that out on my RfA... --HolyRomanEmperor 16:47, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is united in the form of a Federation of two states, only there are a few peculiarities: 1.Montenegro has unilaterally accepted the Euro(!), therefore, Serbia and Montenegro have different official currency! 2.There is a referendum that will take place end of this July to vote for separation. Polls read 60% against. There is a joke in Belgrade about the timing, because nobody can arrange for summer vacation!! 3.Paradoxically, apart from these "political" differences, the two peoples are essentially both self-identified as Serbs! 4.There is much political debate about Federal property separation (read: exploitation, lubrication etc). 5.Strategically, if they split, Serbia will be coast-less and will lose a lot of touristic (+other) income. Hope I know it well. :-) NikoSilver (T) @ (C) 16:51, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and thanks for the suggestion. I'll archive it in a few more posts. --HolyRomanEmperor 16:52, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, pretty much what Niko said. :) --HolyRomanEmperor 16:54, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: RfA

[edit]

Yes, thank you. I have read that (wouldn't accept in the first place if I didn't! :).

Anywhay, thanks for your optimism; but it seems that this Project thingy ruined me. I think that they should've noted that it's a must-have.

And, yes, I think that Montenegro would be better-off if it breaks the union
Yep. I told you that the Project was a necessity. No biggy. :) Anyway, I think that I'll refuse nominations since this moment. This is god-nows-which nomination & and I thought that I could accept this one.
I wonder why other Users constantly find me good enough to become an admin and ask to nominate/nominate me; but now vote Oppose :-D --HolyRomanEmperor 22:39, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. Well, I didn't really "with all of my heart" want to be an admin. It was merely a momentum initiated by User:CrnaGora's nomination. Although, I have to admit that it would've made reverting vandalism a lot easier. Perhaps I should try for a sysop instead? --HolyRomanEmperor 22:54, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Montenegrins

[edit]

The Montenegrin issue is very hard to understand, friend. Montenegrins speak the Serbian language and are followers of the Serbian Orthodox Church. If we generalize, Montenegrins are in most cases the hardest of the Serbian political nationalist leadership. Like their House of Njegoš for instance (see my Petar II Petrović Njegoš article). Slobodan Milošević and Radovan Karadžić - the man second-in-responsibility for the Srebrenica massacre - are the two most infamous Montenegrins.

And yet, Montenegrins are a distinct ethnic group. Is it clearer now, my Hellenic friend? --HolyRomanEmperor 17:24, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, OK

[edit]

Do not get nervous. I was trying to make the context same as other ethnic groups in Macedonia, but if you want to stay like this - OK. BTW, the link should be: Macedonian Greek = Greeks, and not Macedonian Greek = Macedonia (Greece). Bomac 17:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Damir received a letter

[edit]

...from someone claiming that you're pro-serbian? Ehm... the same thing happenned to me (a letter was sent to a user). Strangely, now I cannot make judgements without proof, and I ma quitte possibly wrong, but with whome were we both in conflict? --HolyRomanEmperor 18:31, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How?

[edit]

Hey, how is your rollback working? It's not working for me. --Khoikhoi 19:21, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but what about your forced edit summaries thing? --Khoikhoi 00:13, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, cool. :) I'll add it later as you-know-who is online right now... --Khoikhoi 00:19, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well

[edit]

I meant sysop abilities. They could be granted by a bureacrat as I've understood.

The tens of supporters of the Socialist Party of Serbia openly moarn, yell at the state for not protect him and openly assault newspapers, government's branches etc...

But in reality, no one really cares. I think that Miloshevich's age is what actually brought that. In reality, the Political public simply doesn't care if 100,000 or 1,000,000 Serbs were killed by the Ustašas in World War II, or the 10,000 Bosniaks at the Srebrenica Massacre. I think that the population is fed with it, so they no longer listen the Media. The only one who care about these activities are the high-ranked politicians who talk, and only talk... --HolyRomanEmperor 23:12, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ratko Mladic

[edit]

...has long ago been arrested by the authorities of SCG. Everyone knows that. What wonders me is their denial. I think that the government is testing the public for reaction, so it will deliver him to the Hague after all preparations have been made. The other possibility is that they are too afraid - his extraction would greatly boost the power of the Serbian Radical Party of Vojislav Šešelj. The third possibility I do not like - the radical incinuate that his surrender would mean proof that Republika Srpska was created solely on genocide, which would accordingly demand the abolishing of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. While the (radical wing of the) Democrats consider him a far too dangerous monster to stay alive - they're all talking that suicide would be the best solution for Mladich... and I think that that might be (note: my theory) forcing him to do that... --HolyRomanEmperor 12:22, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You couldn't find it because I put it in the wrong place and then linked to where it should have been. Fixed now. Jkelly 18:58, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Montenegrins

[edit]

...see Article 92 of the ol' Constitution of Montenegro. Can you make it out, or do you need translation-assistence?

Do you see what I mean? I am afraid that not even all Montenegrins gather to solve up this Montenegrin issue will be sufficient enough...

What do you think on this matter? --HolyRomanEmperor 19:48, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

in fact I admire jewishes, i wish modern greeks were acting as jewishes. BUT setting as a featured article the protocols, is provocative and its a propaganda. (i cant even imagine a featured article such as e.g. "macedonia was is and will be greek forever, slav macedonians are bad, americans are bad, european union is bad, everyone is bad etc" on wikipedia's first page.) thats my opinion and obviously not only mine, i respect and admire jewish power, but im not gonna shut up cuz i believe in democracy, and whoever doesnt believe in democracy and believes in facism, can block me.--Feta 21:29, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Realek, that comment is not a personal attack, in fact it is incapable of being a personal attack. My expression of joy to the deliberations going on regarding the naming dispute cannot be a personal attack (even your government is participating in them). I understand that glorifying certain things (the Holocaust, terrorism etc) is not and never should be allowed, but I don't think the naming dispute has reached that level. On the other hand, your unwarranted accusations of Greece of genocide could be construed as personal attacks - would you care to answer this? As for the anon reversion, that IP is almost certainly is User:Bitola as it is from the same dynamic IP pool as the one he signed his name with and reverted to his version in the edit war - not to mention the fact that he did not deny the allegation (the anon - User:Bitola did) when I asked him. In case my suspicion was unfounded, I sent User:Bitola and e-mail of apology yesterday, you even see me mentioning it at his talk page. Apparently, you were not aware of this. I have a strong admiration for User:Bitola, he is one of the users I like. He has made some very useful contributions to Wikipedia, both on the form of images, new articles and contributions to existing articles. You on the other hand have been here for two weeks and since then have contributed nothing to the project, except edit warring and you have amassed two blocks in that time period. I have to inform you that you are no longer welcome on my talk page unless you actually make a material contribution: a new article, an image, anything... What you are doing now is unconstructive and a violation of WP:POINT. Regards, --Latinus 09:42, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS - keep those ugle templates off my talk page until you have an actual personal attack (see WP:NPA to see what personal attacks are) to complain about. --Latinus 09:42, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arabic grammar

[edit]

Most of that article is the result of a single extended session I did at some point. Yes it could and should be substantially expanded, by all means feel free to discuss weak, geminate and quadriliteral roots! I note someone sprinkled parts of the article with forms in Arabic script, I would consider reverting that, since my original plan was to keep the grammar article cleanly separate from spelling issues, which have their own articles. dab () 18:27, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

χερετισμόσ (is this correct??)

[edit]

This is the Latinus version I like:) Seriously, despite my belief that we cannot exclude the edit wars completely, I will be the happiest person if we succeed to limit the ongoing edit wars into reasonable amounts and replace them with healthy discussions on the talk pages. From my side, I will try to avoid edit warring in the future as much as I can. As for my anonymous edits, I would like to unfold the whole thing to the end. I strongly believe that I made those 2 suspicious edits when I was, without noticing that, not signed in (one edit was made on 16 March in 23:06 and the second one on 16 March in 00:06). If you think that I deliberately made those edits anonymously, why should I sign in the same night (17 March 00:19) and make another edit, revealing my IP address? I’m still confirming that after 17 March 00:19 I didn’t make any single edit in the Bitola article. If you think that the following IP addresses are mine: 62.162.14.36, 62.162.14.122, please request the IP check as you did for the 62.162.188.223. If you have knowledge of computers, you will notice that the first two IP addresses have the same prefix: 62.162.14 and mine has different prefix: 62.162.188. I’m a little bit offended that you doubt that I made hate driven edits on the Turkish people article, but I will forget that in the spirit of new good faith between us. Regards! De-categorizing of Time zones of Europe.png

[edit]

To answer your question about why I de-categorized image:Time zones of Europe.png from Category:Europe. Because I think User pages, User talk pages, article talk pages, templates (themselves) and quiet some images should not appear when a reader looks through a category. In the case of image:Time zones of Europe.png, Category:Time zones is appropriate that’s why I left it the way it was, however I think Category:Europe is not. And in general categories should not be image galleries. Nevertheless, feel free to disagree an revert my edits. Happy editing. --Van helsing 20:12, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Latinus,

I really need your help on the Abkhazia page with a pro-Georgian POV-pusher. He's not Georgian (not that it matters), but he continues to attempt to add his own bias to the article. This page before jumping to conclusions: http://www.ipn.gov.pl/eng/eng_news_high_koniuchy.html Information on the Investigation in the Case of Crime Committed in Koniuchy

Legal proceeding initiated on March 3, 2001 in the case of pacification and murder of several dozens of residents of Koniuchy community (near Bieniakonie in Lida district, Novogrod voivodship) by soviet partisans in January 1944.

Koniuchy was a big Polish village with some 60 buildings and over 300 inhabitants. Koniuchy was close to the Rudnicka Forest where numerous soviet partisans had their bases. The partisans notoriously attacked and plundered the village. For that reason the Koniuchy community decided to form a self-defense group. In the night of 28/29 January 1944 a group of partisans surrounded the village and at 5 a.m. launched a 1,5-2 hours attack. The partisans put on fire the straw roofs of houses and shot those who run out. As a result 38 persons were killed and more then a dozen wounded. Some of the victims were burnt in their houses and others were gunshot. The victims were men, women and small children. --Molobo 19:24, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all Koniuchy has nothing to do with Khatyn. It is same as writing about Pearl Harbor bombing with the intro"Dresden was bombed also in war". Second all I am unaware how the article is hostile to Russians, please explain what you mean. --Molobo 20:26, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Once again-what are you talking about ? I completely don't understand you. What has Khatyn to do with Koniuchy ? How can description of Soviet atrocities be hostile to Russians ? --Molobo 20:36, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please point out where did you get that they were Lithuanians

[edit]

You added that they were Lithuanians in Koniuchy massacre. I want you to show me your source with quote-so far I have yet to see Lithuanian involvement in any publication. So I ask you to give your source for this allegation. --Molobo 20:35, 22 March 2006 (UTC) You why then you left out Russians ? Anyway proper scholary research discovered only Russian and Jewish partisans were implicated[2] --Molobo 20:44, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Khatyn is for context ? What context ? Explain ? It has nothing to do with Koniuchy. --Molobo 20:49, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know you are interested in christianity, and I recently started a new wiki over at wikicities which is on the subject of christianity. [3] is the site.

The goal is to have a knowledgebase on christianity from a distinctly "C(hristian)POV" rather than the NPOV.

As for Ottoman Empire article, I made my point to you, I explained it for 2-3 hours and at the end I was proven right (a recognised non multi ethnic-empire is non-existant, therefore multi-ethnic empire is redundant), still I waited for 10 minutes for you to show your good faith and change it and you didn't. I am aware of the 3RR, I could have asked one of the Turkish users to change it for me but I didn't. Why? Because I am tired, I am going to bed and I did what was right to do. Macedonia

[edit]

The data you gave doesnt apply on territory of today republic of Macedonia. Yet again nobody can prove that we must rely on only one source (ethnologue). In Balkan Wars Greeks took great part of Macedonian/Bulgarian ethnic territories leaving so parts that were left outside Greece and were part of Macedonia were Greek-less. Greeks that later lived in SFRJ were mostly communist refugees. If u give me some census data with numbers (at least 1,000) that mention Greeks I will stop reverting it. Luka Jačov 00:21, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With what right are you blackmailing us??!! First you blackmail that I ll be blocked cos of 3RR then you blackmail us that you ll erase Macedonian minority from Greece which really is fascist behaviour and against all wikipedia rules. Before I didnt attacked you being nationalist but your edit. The are numeorous proves that Slavs in Greece exist while none yet exist that prove worth mentioning Greek community in Republic of Macedonia. Give us some arguments instead of blackmailing us all. Luka Jačov 11:58, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From Demographics of Greece:

Minority Ethnic and Linguistic Groups A survey conducted by the VPRC Institute in 2001 found the following minority linguistic groups in Greece:

  • 3.3% Arvanitic speakers
  • 2.2% Turkish speakers
  • 2.0% Aromanian speakers
  • 1.4% Italian speakers
  • 0.7% Russian speakers
  • 0.6% Macedonian Slavic speakers
  • 0.6% Roma speakers

The survey mentioned that most of the respondents were using the Greek language in everyday life.

As we know Greece doesnt recognise national minority so all people that were not foreigner workers were signed as Greeks. Luka Jačov 12:06, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You have no proof that Macedonia is not recognising Greek minority! Turkish minority is recognised cos of Treaty of Lausanne. This survey proved Macedonian speaking people while we still have no proof that Greek minority exists. Ok, lets put it this way if u gave us any information of some Greek minority organisation in Republic of Macedonia or that presence of Greek Orthodox church in Republic of Macedonia I will not interefere in this issue anymore. But the think is you want to belive that Greek minority exist when actually no proof yet has been given. Luka Jačov 12:35, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

SOC is not oppressed in Macedonia you are again giving me unverified accusations. This only shows your chauvinistic behaviour toward Macedonians and that you are ill-mannered. Okay are there any Greek minority organisations in Macedonia?! Luka Jačov 16:22, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

[edit]

Didn't see it on the Selanik page. I am adding the Turkish names to certain places, please keep an eye on them as well.--Kagan the Barbarian 12:05, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know Arabic alphabet.
Do you know how long I'll be blocked for violating the 3RR? Because I am about to get one pretty soon.--Kagan the Barbarian 12:15, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greeks

[edit]

"The modern Greeks are widely considered to be the inheritors of the ancient Greek and Byzantine civilizations and cultures."

You and I both know this sentence's factual accuracy can never be proven; even showing couple websites won't do; you are suggesting a wide belief. It is better to leave it as "Greeks consider themselves", since it has great factual accuracy and can be proven easily.--Kagan the Barbarian 13:40, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm User: Diyako. Encarta does not claim that. Some users want to push a biased and non-academic wording in the article please read the sources carefully. Xebat Talk + 17:42, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA
Thank you for supporting/opposing/commenting on my request of adminship, sadly the result was 54/20/7 an thus only 73% support votes, resulting in that the nomination failed. As many of you commenting that I have to few main-space edits, I'll try to better my self on that part. If you have any ideas on what kind of articles I could edit, pleas send me a line. :) AzaToth

Noticeboard

[edit]

Anyway I can get this dismissed? I feel I've pretty much demolished the charge, and theres an outside user who came to my defense as well. I honestly think it's Cool Cat upset that someone disagrees with him, and as such is a bad faith nom... He's accused me of sockpuppetry before in votes that landslide against him (My sock puppets apperently have edit counts like 10 times mine... I wish I had those logins ;))-Mask 20:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Hey Latinus, what do you think of this? I think the dab note is useful, but I don't really want to get into any more conflicts at the moment. --Khoikhoi 03:31, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Hey Latinus, I'd really like thank you for taking the time to nominate me and vote at my RfA. I withdrew due to certain controversies, but I appreciated your vote and hope to see you here in the future. Thanks again. --Khoikhoi 05:07, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Re: Montenegro

[edit]

Yeah. The main problem is that the goverment is made out of the-most-recent-war profiteers and drug criminals. Montenegro's Premier is among the most wanted criminals throughout Italy for smuggling using his secret fleet.

One of the main reasons for Montenegro's independence is so that it could become a have of three dictators; Milo Đukanović and his criminal boss budies. They want to create Montenegro into a criminal smuggling haven, as actually, it's now perfect for it.

Do you know that they're buying votes? There was a scandal most recently which noted that the government will pay anyone 1,580 Euros for a vote for independence.

As for Kosovo, well, I think that my head hurts from that dispute; see what they're doing on the Kosovo article. --HolyRomanEmperor 12:58, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
