LAB
[edit]Thanks for the note. No problem. You can revert my change. I am still trying to think about the contribution. So, about 1 billion kg of LABs are consumed each year for making detergents, and the article then gets a paragraph on a possible use of for detecting nutrinos? With three specific references? What ran through my mind are two guidelines (the litigious way of arguing on Wikipedia, admittedly): WP:UNDUE and WP:SECONDARY. The list would be a mile long if we indicated every mere thousand or million kg that was used for some kinky use. The UNDUE thing comes from my sense that academicians tend to fill these pages (I am one of them), and they know all kinds of archane "uses", which rarely are uses, just something that they know and are always ready with an armful of primary references. What the LAB article needs is editors who could focus on the 1 billion kg application, but such folks from the real world are an extreme rarity in Wikipedia. A bit of a rant, I know.
BTW, is the secret nutrino detector really used or contemplated?

[edit]How is "Words With Friends" an irrelevant link? People commonly use #WWF to refer to the game on Twitter. hbdragon88 (talk) 23:29, 19 April 2011 (UTC)
- I humbly request your input over on Talk:WWF. hbdragon88 (talk) 05:44, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

- You may notice I used a 'new page' tag.Larryisgood (talk) 23:05, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- "New page" - doesn't matter; if it's live, it has to meet the basic requirements. If you wanna develop swomething, use a draft page.
- I noticed you [http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=##chzz on the 'chat', but you left before I would say 'hello'. Chzz ► 23:08, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hah! Yes, for some reason I thought the chat would be a one-on-one affair. But then it wasn't so I figured I'd just reply here. The draft page might be a good idea, I was not aware of this feature or that this was the protocol. I am relatively new to creating articles. If you feel it is necessary to delete necromone until a more developed version is established on this draft page you speak of, go for it. Larryisgood (talk) 23:15, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
The article Necromone has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- WP:DICDEF - not enough coverage in independent RS to show notabilty - try wikit:Wiktionary, maybe?
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Chzz ► 23:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
