Hi Laplorfill! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. |
Disambiguation link notification for October 5
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bryngwyn railway station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Incline (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ffestiniog Railway rolling stock may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Glynllifon Street railway station
Hello
Thank you for raising this station as needing attention.
I have scoured sources and have found some evidence, some direct, most indirect, that this temporary station existed and have edited it accordingly.
I hope this does the trick, as otherwise the arrangements for the F&BR's regauging phase will have a Black Hole at their noorthern end.
Apologies if this isn't the correct way to write to you, I never got the hang of where to write replies even when I was writing regularly.
Best wishes
Dave David Hull

"Blue sky studios"
i got the message about me being a vandal: however, blue sky studios IS in fact defunct, so i wasn't being a vandal in any way. even the edit section suggested to change it to "Was". — Preceding unsigned comment added by ItsyaboialiaDUNDUN (talk • contribs) 00:50, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
- @ItsyaboialiaDUNDUN: The "edit section" says this: "change to "was" upon studio shutdown in April". It is currently March, not April. The studio has not shut down yet, so it is inaccurate to use the past tense. The change you made is clear vandalism, especially as you ignored the very clear instruction not to change the tense until after the studio has closed. Laplorfill (talk) 05:06, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
Unsourced Edits
Hello Laplorfill, you recently reverted some edits I made to the page List of books in The Railway Series. I had gotten the unsourced information from the Thomas the Tank Engine Wikia | Fandom site. I didn't think I would have to cite the info I had found, and I'm not sure if I could use the Wikia as a source. If I can't, I won't re-add it. Please let me know... Thanks for your time. - 6.0AllMotivePowerS 6.0AllMotivePowerS (talk) 23:41, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
- @6.0AllMotivePowerS: all information on Wikipedia must be verifiable - please read through Wikipedia's core policy on verifiability. This is one of the 5 pillars of Wikipedia and is absolutely central to building a reliable encyclopedia. You should also look at the related core policy on maintaining a neutral point of view. I'm afraid Wikia fandoms are not reliable sources for information added to Wikipedia, and the TTtE fandom sites are paarticularly unreliable and should never be used as a source. Good luck, Laplorfill (talk) 03:15, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
@Laplorfill: Understood, thanks for the valuable knowledge. 6.0AllMotivePowerS (talk) 03:29, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
Deletion of the Draft:Splatter and Dodge the Diesel Engines
I want from you to delete this draft.--General electric p30ch (talk) 18:18, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- @General electric p30ch: I'm afraid I don't have the ability to delete it. Only an administrator can do that. To request that an admin deletes the draft, you can tag it with the CSD:G7 tag. Laplorfill (talk) 20:41, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
Deletion of the article Diesel 10 the Evil Diesel Engine
Why, you deleted this article;--General electric p30ch (talk) 11:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @General electric p30ch: I did not delete the article, I redirected it to List of Thomas & Friends film characters. The reason I did that is because the article you wrote is inappropriate. It had no sources, was written from a fan point of view, was much too detailed and showed no evidence that the subject was notable enough to warrant an article. This is a serious encyclopedia, not a fansite. I recommend you read the core rules of Wikipedia, especially the requirements on sourcing, notability and maintaining a neutral point of view. Your draft articles have been rejected multiple times on exactly these grounds. Please do not crate more articles until you understand and can follow the basic rules. Thanks, Laplorfill (talk) 11:58, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
Why was inappropriate; Because of the name;--General electric p30ch (talk) 12:36, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- @General electric p30ch: did you read my reply above? I gave you a detailed explanation of why it was inappropriate: "it had no sources, was written from a fan point of view, was much too detailed and showed no evidence that the subject was notable enough to warrant an article". I also gave you links to Wikipedia's core policies that you have repeatedly ignored. Did you read those links? Are you going to follow the policies? Laplorfill (talk) 12:39, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
I will try to follow them.--General electric p30ch (talk) 12:48, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
Νegotiations to not delete my account
Do you can to send me in my talk page an greek revsion of the links I have to follow; I said you a greek revision, because I edit from Greece.--General electric p30ch (talk) 06:46, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
- @General electric p30ch: I'm afraid I don't speak Greek, nor am I aware of any Greek translation of those pages. This is the English language Wikipedia. If your English isn't good enough to understand the basic policies here, perhaps you would be better editing the Greek language Wikipedia. Laplorfill (talk) 21:20, 23 March 2021 (UTC)
If you want to not do an copyright violation help me
To not do another copyright violation please go to Draft:'Arry and Bert and enter photos in the infobox by yourself. Attention one for 'Arry and only one for Bert. --General electric p30ch (talk) 06:40, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
- @General electric p30ch: I'm sorry, but I will not do that. I am not aware of any images of those characters that are free to be used on Wikipedia. Please understand that copyright is taken very seriously on Wikipedia, with good reason. You must follow the rules on Copyright, and if you are unable to do so, you should stop editing here.
