This is a fluff page and filled with inaccurate, factually incorrect information (appears to be written by Zainab Chaudry herself for self-promotion). Examples:
"She is a board member of the Interfaith Action for Human Rights,..."
Zainab Chaudry is NOT listed as a board member of the Interfaith Action for Human Rights on their website (other board members are listed on the website). https://www.interfaithactionhr.org/who_we_are
"...and is a spokesperson for the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR), America's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization.[1][2]""
Zainab Chaudry's official title is not listed as "Spokesperson" on CAIR's staff website page www.cair.com. She works in the outreach department, not communications department.
"Chaudry is the first Muslim appointed to the Maryland State Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights – an independent, bipartisan agency established by Congress in 1957 that advises the President and Congress on civil rights matters.[3]"
The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights does not ask individuals their faith affiliation so we dont know if Zainab Chaudry is the "first Muslim appointed." With nearly 10 million American Muslims- many who are second, third, and fourth generation American, it is highly unlikely that the commission appointed its first Muslim in 2014.
"She is a Fellow of the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute,.."
Zainab Chaudry was not a fellow of the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute program, but the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute Eastern Region program- a shorter, less competitve (weekend?) retreat.
"and the Maryland Public Policy Conflict Resolution Fellowship at the University Of Maryland Carey School Of Law."
This is a 2.5 day program for non-attorneys at the University of Maryland School of Law. https://www.law.umaryland.edu/Programs-and-Impact/Alternative-Dispute-Resolution/Public-Policy/.
"She was a 'Nominated Changemaker' at the 2016 White House Summit on the United State of Women."
This may not be accurate. Zainab Chaudry is not listed as a nominee on the 2016 United State of Women Summit awards website: https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/blog/2016/06/09/meet-nominated-attendees-united-state-women-summit
"Working with the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights and the Maryland Governor's Office on Community Initiatives, Chaudry organized Maryland's first statewide emergency preparedness summit for interfaith leaders.[5]"
The article she cites states that it was her organization, CAIR, that organized it.
It is not the "first statewide emergy preparedness summit for interfaith leaders. The article states that in September 2015, "the sheriff's office in Harford County hosted a similar event for over 40 church officials about handling an active shooter situation."
Also, need to add some balance to the article:
The Maryland Secretary of State records indicate that Chaudry's organization, CAIR-Maryland, was forfeited in 2007 [1].
In August 2018, Chaudry publicly withdrew as a speaker from the 2018 Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom national conference [2].
